Brooklyn Beckham has found himself at the centre of fresh controversy after appearing in a cryptic sponsored advert that many fans believe contained yet another dig at his famous parents, David and Victoria Beckham.
As the FIFA World Cup 2026 gets underway, Brooklyn shared a paid partnership with food delivery giant DoorDash. Sitting at home with a smirk on his face, the 27-year-old told viewers: “You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home… It’s a long story.”
The video ended with the message: “It’s complicated. More soon.”

Although Brooklyn reportedly has a fortune of his own and enjoys a lavish lifestyle with wife Nicola Peltz, the advert quickly attracted attention for what some observers viewed as hidden references to the Beckham family feud.
Fans noted that a different watch had been carefully placed on the coffee table, seemingly replacing the luxury Patek Philippe Nautilus previously gifted to him by his father David. A pile of unopened letters also appeared in the shot, leading some to speculate that the items symbolised his continued distance from his family.
The timing of the campaign raised eyebrows following reports that Brooklyn’s younger sister Harper Beckham had recently travelled to his Beverly Hills home with a handwritten note, only to discover that her brother was not there.
According to sources close to David and Victoria, Harper was left heartbroken by the failed visit, while friends of the Beckhams strongly rejected accusations from Brooklyn and Nicola’s camp that the teenager had been used as a “pawn”.
Representatives for Brooklyn and Nicola argued that the circumstances surrounding the visit were suspicious, telling the Daily Mail: “[The fact] that photographers were in place as the letter was hand delivered says it all – this was choreographed for the cameras.”

But those close to David and Victoria hit back, saying: “It is incredibly sad that this horrible accusation is being levelled at an innocent young girl who just desperately misses her brother.
“Nothing needed to be said at all so to invent this nasty accusation is really unnecessary.”
Friends of the family have also claimed that Brooklyn has refused attempts at contact from Harper and his grandparents since the rift escalated.
It later emerged that Brooklyn had not even been in California when Harper called at his house. Instead, he shared footage of himself jogging in New York, placing him on the opposite side of the country.
The strained relationship between Brooklyn and his parents has reportedly worsened over the past year. The ongoing dispute intensified after Brooklyn and Nicola failed to attend David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations in May 2025.
Earlier this year, Brooklyn publicly declared that he was no longer part of “Brand Beckham” and reportedly accused his family of being “performative”. Communication between both sides has since become increasingly formal, with lawyers becoming involved.
Despite months of headlines surrounding the bitter divide, David Beckham recently declined to discuss the situation publicly. When asked about the impact the feud had taken on him, he said: “To be honest, I’m sorry to stop you there, but that’s a private matter. That’s the one thing that I don’t want to talk about.”
Victoria Beckham has also acknowledged the difficulties of raising adult children under constant public scrutiny. Reflecting on motherhood, she said: “Being a parent of young adult children and adult children, gosh, I mean, it’s very different from having little children.
“I think that we’re trying to do the best we can.”
She added: “I think that ultimately people are buying my product because the product is really good. I don’t think they’re buying my eyeliner just because it’s me.”
