Friends of David and Victoria Beckham have blasted Brooklyn Beckham’s latest sponsored social media post, describing it as “shocking” as the family’s bitter feud continues to play out in public.
The 27-year-old shared a promotional video with food delivery company DoorDash in which he appeared to make light of his estrangement from his family.
Smirking to the camera, Brooklyn said: “You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home… It’s a long story.”
The clip ended with the message: “It’s complicated. More soon,” suggesting that further cryptic advertisements could follow.

But the campaign has reportedly left those closest to the Beckhams stunned.
A family friend told Katie Hind: “To do an advert based on estrangement from family as if it’s a joke when his family is devastated and his sister and grandparents are inconsolable is shocking.”
The source added: “Especially from someone who claims he wants peace and privacy.”
The criticism comes months after Brooklyn issued a six-page statement distancing himself from what he called “Brand Beckham”, accusing his parents of placing public image and commercial endorsements above everything else.
At the time, he wrote: “All we want is peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”
However, Brooklyn’s latest post appears to have sparked fierce criticism online. Numerous followers accused him of disrespecting David and Victoria, with some branding the advert “disturbing” and “desperate”.
The backlash became so intense that Brooklyn reportedly restricted comments on his Instagram account, allowing only people he follows to respond publicly.

Observers also noticed what appeared to be symbolic details in the video. Brooklyn was seen placing a new watch on the table rather than wearing the £250,000 Patek Philippe Nautilus gifted to him by his father. A pile of unopened letters was also visible nearby, leading to speculation that the scene carried hidden messages about his fractured relationship with his family.
The latest controversy comes just days after Harper Beckham, 14, reportedly visited Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz’s Beverly Hills home to hand-deliver a handwritten note to her older brother.
Sources said the teenager was left heartbroken when she discovered he was not there.
Afterwards, representatives for Brooklyn and Nicola questioned the circumstances surrounding the visit, telling the Daily Mail: “[The fact] that photographers were in place as the letter was hand delivered says it all – this was choreographed for the cameras.”
But friends close to David and Victoria strongly rejected the accusation.
They said: “It is incredibly sad that this horrible accusation is being levelled at an innocent young girl who just desperately misses her brother.”
“Nothing needed to be said at all so to invent this nasty accusation is really unnecessary.”
Those close to the family have also claimed that Brooklyn has refused contact not only with Harper but also with his grandparents since the fallout began.
It later emerged that Brooklyn was in New York when Harper visited his California home, sharing footage of himself out running in the city while his younger sister was reportedly standing at his front door.
Meanwhile, David Beckham has remained determined to keep the family dispute private.
When asked about the emotional toll the feud had taken on him during his Hollywood Walk of Fame celebrations, the former England captain replied: “To be honest, I’m sorry to stop you there, but that’s a private matter. That’s the one thing that I don’t want to talk about.”
Relations between the Beckhams and Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz are understood to have deteriorated significantly since the couple failed to attend David’s 50th birthday celebrations in May 2025.
The rift deepened further when Brooklyn blocked his parents on Instagram before lawyers acting for Brooklyn and Nicola reportedly requested that all communication with the Beckham family be handled through legal representatives.
