DJ Fat Tony Breaks Silence On Kelly Osbourne’s Weight Loss — And His Claim About Why She Really Took The Drugs Changes Everything

DJ Fat Tony has broken his silence over the relentless scrutiny surrounding Kelly Osbourne’s dramatic weight loss, insisting his close friend was using weight-loss medication to cope with issues far beyond shedding pounds.

The TV personality, 41, has endured a heartbreaking period following the death of her father, Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away in July 2025 at the age of 76 after suffering a cardiac arrest. Kelly also faced another emotional blow when her engagement to Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson ended in March.

For months, the former reality star has been subjected to cruel comments and online speculation about her appearance. Now, her long-time friend DJ Fat Tony has defended her and offered a rare insight into the reasons behind her use of weight-loss drugs.

Speaking to The Telegraph, Tony revealed that Kelly’s decision had little to do with slimming down.

“Well, Kelly looks great again now. And that’s because she’s levelled herself out,” he said.

Referring to the medication, he added: “Kelly was using it not to lose weight; Kelly was using it for her other life problems. But we’re all so opinionated, aren’t we? God forbid someone loses too much weight.”

Tony himself admitted he is currently “microdosing” Mounjaro to curb food cravings.

Kelly has previously spoken about the devastating grief she experienced after losing her father, revealing that she struggled to eat and found herself forced to respond to critics who questioned her changing appearance.

The backlash intensified after she attended the Brit Awards in Manchester in March to accept a posthumous Lifetime Achievement award on behalf of Ozzy.

Instead of focusing solely on the emotional tribute, Kelly became the target of harsh remarks about her appearance, prompting her to issue an emotional statement.

“There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something,” she said.

“Kicking me while I’m down, doubting my pain, spreading my struggles as gossip, and turning your back when I need support and love most.”

She continued: “None of it proves strength, it only reveals a profound absence of character. I’m currently going through the hardest time of my life. I should not even have to defend myself. But I won’t sit here and allow myself to be dehumanised in such a way.”

Earlier this month, Kelly appeared to have put the difficult period behind her when she joined Scissor Sisters on stage at London’s Mighty Hoopla festival.

Friends close to the star told the Daily Mail that she looked happier and healthier after taking time to rebuild her life.

“She looks amazing and this is such a beautiful opportunity to prove the haters wrong,” one source said.

“She was going through grief with her dad passing away and people were so awful to her. She just needed time to settle back into her life again.”

For Kelly, whose struggles with body image stretch back to her teenage years on The Osbournes, the past year has been one of grief, heartbreak and public scrutiny. But according to those closest to her, she is finally beginning to find her balance again.
