David and Victoria Beckham’s team have hit back at the ‘nasty accusation’ from their estranged son Brooklyn Beckham that they ‘choreographed’ sister Harper’s visit to his mansion

Friends of David and Victoria Beckham have strongly rejected what they describe as a “nasty” accusation made by Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz’s camp after 14-year-old Harper Beckham’s emotional attempt to reconnect with her brother.

Fresh tensions erupted after Harper was photographed arriving at Brooklyn’s £14million Beverly Hills mansion on Friday, reportedly carrying a handwritten letter for her older brother.

Representatives for Brooklyn and Nicola suggested the visit had been arranged for publicity purposes, telling the Daily Mail: “That photographers were in place as the letter was hand delivered says it all – this was choreographed for the cameras.”

But those close to David and Victoria have now fiercely defended their youngest child, insisting she was simply trying to rebuild a fractured relationship.

A source said: “It’s incredibly sad that this horrible accusation is being levelled at an innocent young girl who just desperately misses her brother.”

They added: “Nothing needed to be said at all so to invent this nasty accusation is really unnecessary.”

Insiders say Harper has remained heartbroken by the ongoing family rift and would do anything to have Brooklyn back in her life.

Friends of the Beckhams also claim that Brooklyn has refused contact not only with Harper, but with his grandparents since the family fallout intensified.

Photographs from the day reportedly showed the teenager looking disappointed as she approached the property before leaving shortly afterwards.

It later emerged that Brooklyn, 27, was not even in California when his sister arrived. Instead, he appeared to confirm he was in New York after posting an Instagram Story showing himself out for a run on the opposite side of the country.

Harper had travelled to Los Angeles with brothers Romeo and Cruz to support their father, Sir David Beckham, as he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

During interviews ahead of the ceremony, David refused to discuss the painful family dispute.

He said: “To be honest, I’m sorry to stop you there, but that’s a private matter. That’s the one thing that I don’t want to talk about.”

Relations between Brooklyn and the rest of the Beckham family have reportedly deteriorated over the past year.

The breakdown deepened after Brooklyn and Nicola failed to attend David’s 50th birthday celebrations in May 2025.

In January, Brooklyn released a blistering six-page statement distancing himself from what he called “Brand Beckham”, claiming his parents and siblings were “performative”.

He also alleged that David and Victoria had tried to come between him and Nicola, and accused his mother of embarrassing him during their wedding by dancing “inappropriately” with him during the first dance.

Meanwhile, Victoria previously admitted raising older children under constant public scrutiny has brought its own challenges.

Speaking about her family, she said: “Being a parent of young adult children and adult children, gosh, I mean, it’s very different from having little children.”

She added: “I think that we’re trying to do the best we can.”

Despite months of intense headlines surrounding the family feud, Victoria insisted the controversy had not affected her business success, saying: “I think that ultimately people are buying my product because the product is really good. I don’t think they’re buying my eyeliner just because it’s me.”
