Five weeks after the tragic death of former The Only Way Is Essex star Jake Hall, family, friends and former partners gathered in east London to pay their final respects.
Hall died aged 35 in Majorca on May 6 after suffering fatal head injuries when he reportedly ran through a single-glazed glass door at a holiday villa. Authorities later confirmed there was no evidence of criminal activity and legal sources said the incident appeared to have been a tragic accident.
On Friday, mourners attended a service celebrating Hall’s life at St Mary the Virgin church in Wanstead.
Among those leading the tributes were two of his former partners, Chloe Lewis and Misse Beqiri. Chloe arrived alongside influencer Georgie Fisher and sister Abbie Morgan, while Misse, with whom Hall shared eight-year-old daughter River, made an emotional appearance after paying tribute to him earlier in the day.
Several familiar faces from TOWIE were present to say goodbye, including Lydia Bright, James ‘Arg’ Argent, Liam ‘Gatsby’ Blackwell, Demi Sims, Tommy Mallet and Georgia Kousoulou.
The funeral cortege was led by a black Rolls-Royce, while boxer Derek Chisora, celebrity DJ Fat Tony and members of David Beckham’s family, including his mother Sandra and sister Joanne, were also among those attending.
Hall joined TOWIE in 2015 and became a popular figure on the reality series before leaving the show in 2024. Away from television, he launched his own menswear label, By Jake Hall.
The reality star had arrived in Majorca shortly before his death and had reportedly spent the evening in Palma before returning to the villa with friends. The accident occurred at around 7.15am after neighbours heard a loud crash followed by the sound of smashing glass.
Although an autopsy was carried out in Palma, the findings have not been made public.
In a heartbreaking tribute following his death, Misse Beqiri wrote: “I never thought I would ever have to write this, and the pain of even putting these words down feels unbearable. There was no way you were ever supposed to go. My heart is shattered, and so is our daughter’s.”
She continued: “You lit up every room you walked into – your smile, your charm, your energy that filled the air. The way you loved music, how deeply you felt every sound, your creativity, your mind, your spirit.”
“You were so deeply loved by so many people, and seeing the love everyone has for you is both heartbreaking and beautiful all at once.”
Tributes also came from close friends, with DJ Fat Tony writing on Instagram: “Devastating news we love you @jakehall such an awful loss to the world you beautiful man x.”
Friday’s service brought together loved ones and familiar faces from the world of entertainment as they remembered the reality star whose life was cut tragically short.
