Loose Women is facing claims of total backstage chaos!: ITV Daytime Favourite ‘Being Torn Apart From Within’ As Toxic Feud Claims, Secret WhatsApp Groups And Backstage Betrayals Push Show To The Brink

What viewers see on screen may be laughter, emotional confessions and friendly debate — but behind the scenes, Loose Women is now reportedly facing one of the biggest crises in its history.

The long-running ITV daytime show has been thrown into chaos after explosive claims emerged about vicious backstage feuds, “savage” WhatsApp groups and years of hidden grudges between panelists. According to insiders, the atmosphere behind the cameras has become so toxic that some fear the iconic programme could eventually collapse under the pressure.

The scandal erupted after showbiz agent and bestselling author Melanie Blake — who previously represented panellist Coleen Nolan — made a series of bombshell allegations online. She claimed some stars privately mocked former presenter Andrea McLean by calling her “Blandrea” behind her back.

Things escalated further after Melanie clashed publicly with Denise Welch on social media, with Denise reportedly telling her to “get help.” Melanie then doubled down on her accusations, alleging there were multiple secret WhatsApp groups where panellists regularly “slag each other off.”

She claimed: “There are at least three cliques,” adding that she had allegedly seen screenshots revealing the private conversations happening behind closed doors.

According to insiders, the revelations have shattered trust among the cast. One source claimed the women now constantly fear they are being criticised the moment they leave the room.

“The trust is totally gone,” the insider said. “Everyone assumes they’re being slagged off the second they leave the room — and honestly, they usually are.”

The source alleged that old grudges are now resurfacing, with years of resentment bubbling back to the surface amid fears Melanie could expose even more secrets in a future autobiography.

“Melanie knew everything,” the insider continued. “The secrets, the affairs, who hated who. For her to start talking now has terrified people.”

The claims surrounding the WhatsApp groups were even more shocking. According to the insider, the messages allegedly go far beyond harmless gossip.

“The women absolutely rip each other to shreds on WhatsApp,” the source claimed. “Careers, looks, relationships — nothing is off limits.”

Some stars are even said to refuse to work together entirely, with insiders suggesting viewers can supposedly “tell who hates who” based on which panellists rarely appear alongside one another on-air.

Meanwhile, newer stars like Olivia Attwood are reportedly caught in the middle of the growing tensions, while long-standing favourites including Ruth Langsford, Janet Street-Porter and Nadia Sawalha continue to face scrutiny amid ITV’s wider daytime shake-up.

ITV has firmly denied the allegations. A spokesperson insisted the claims were “simply untrue” and praised the show’s multi-generational panel for bringing diverse opinions and experiences to viewers every day.

However, insiders insist tensions worsened dramatically after behind-the-scenes production changes earlier this year following ITV budget cuts and redundancies.

One source claimed the departure of former editor Sally Shelford created major instability backstage.

“She was the only thing holding that show together,” the insider alleged. “She knew exactly who couldn’t stand each other and kept them apart.”

Now, according to reports, panellists are allegedly being forced to work alongside co-stars they have spent years avoiding.

The insider added: “You can feel the tension backstage and it’s awful.”

Despite the chaos, many stars are reportedly reluctant to complain openly because of fears surrounding job losses and ITV’s cost-cutting measures.

At the same time, concerns are growing among staff that the negativity behind the scenes could permanently damage the future of the programme.

“There’s only so much pretending people can do,” the source claimed. “Behind the scenes, it’s totally falling apart.”

The latest controversy comes shortly after reports that Nadia Sawalha had allegedly been dropped from the show following backlash over controversial social media activity — adding even more pressure to a programme already facing mounting public scrutiny.
