“NOTHING PREPARED THEM FOR THIS…”: Nick Knowles Lands Powerful New TV Role Just Weeks After Wife Katie’s Heartbreaking Abuse Confession

Nick Knowles has revealed a major new documentary project away from the BBC — just weeks after his wife Katie Dadzie made an emotional and deeply personal admission that shocked fans.

The 63-year-old DIY SOS presenter is set to narrate a brand-new documentary for Fix Radio, a station dedicated to tradespeople across the UK. While still continuing his work with the BBC, Nick has now taken on a hard-hitting new role focusing on one of the biggest growing crises affecting builders and workers nationwide.

The documentary, titled The Tool Theft Epidemic, explores the devastating rise in tool theft across Britain and the emotional toll it has taken on victims. The hour-long special will feature real stories from tradespeople who say the crimes have destroyed livelihoods, damaged mental health and left families struggling financially.

Nick will serve as the voice of the documentary, guiding listeners through the stories of victims, police officers and campaigners trying to raise awareness about what many are now calling a national epidemic.

Andy Shier, Programme Director at Fix Radio, explained: “Fix Radio has covered the growing tool theft epidemic for the last five years.

“During that time, we’ve talked to the victims, the police and politicians in an attempt to raise awareness about this hugely important issue and its impact on the trade community.”

The documentary is scheduled to air on Sunday, May 10, and will also be available on major podcast platforms.

The new project comes during an emotional period for Nick and his family after his wife Katie Dadzie bravely opened up about years of abuse she suffered as a child.

Katie, 35, who married Nick last year after the couple got engaged in New Orleans, revealed in an emotional social media post that she had been raped by her father “for years.”

She admitted she had never spoken publicly about the abuse before, telling followers: “I have never spoken about this publicly, other than to friends, family and even then not everyone.

“I was raped by my dad for years, years and years.”

Katie added that therapy had helped her reach a more balanced place emotionally, though she admitted the trauma still resurfaces at times.

“There are times when it comes up, but I have had a lot of therapy to get to being as balanced as I can be about it now, and can be is the important bit,” she said.

Fans praised Katie for her courage and honesty, with many thanking her for helping raise awareness around abuse and trauma recovery.
