Paddy McGuinness was reportedly left completely unaware of estranged wife Christine McGuinness’s rumoured new romance with Olympic boxing icon Nicola Adams — as insiders now claim friends are growing worried about Christine’s fast-moving new chapter.
The former couple, who split in 2024 after 13 years of marriage, still live together while co-parenting their three children — twins Leo and Penelope, 13, and eight-year-old Felicity. But while rumours surrounding Christine and Nicola have exploded in recent weeks, sources say Paddy had no idea the relationship had become so serious.

Their rumoured romance first sparked attention after the pair attended the DIVA Awards 2026 together last month, where onlookers claimed the chemistry between them was impossible to ignore.
One insider revealed: “Paddy just wants Christine to be happy. He’s very relaxed about who she dates. He’ll appreciate that Nicola is family-orientated because that’s the most important thing to him too.”
Despite Paddy’s calm reaction, it’s believed Christine’s closest friends are becoming increasingly concerned about how publicly she has embraced her new lifestyle following a series of incredibly candid interviews.

Last week, Christine stunned listeners when she described herself as a “five-star lesbian,” admitted she loved “Japanese bondage,” and revealed she was searching for a wife.
Shortly afterwards, she reportedly confessed she may have “overshared.”
According to insiders, friends fear the TV star’s intensely public approach to her love life could eventually backfire. One source claimed: “Having romances in the public eye and sharing so many intimate details can come with a price. Friends are worried her bubble could burst if something doesn’t change.”
Meanwhile, Nicola is said to be “completely smitten” with Christine, with pals describing the pair as a “perfect match.”
An insider added: “Nicola’s telling people she’s properly fallen hard and there’s no denying it. Christine loves Nicola’s positive energy and how confident and laid-back she is.”
Fuel was added to the speculation this week when Nicola posted a cryptic Instagram video joking that she was “crazy” about a woman, alongside the hashtag “#wlw”.

Although neither star has officially confirmed the relationship, fans quickly noticed the pair are now following each other on Instagram — and their increasingly flirty online activity has only intensified the rumours.
Christine has also openly admitted that since divorcing Paddy, she has exclusively dated women.
Speaking candidly about her sexuality, she explained: “I didn’t intentionally go, ‘Okay, that’s it. Now I’m off to women.’ But that’s kind of what I’ve done.”
She continued: “I absolutely fully love it and can’t get enough. I love it for me and I’m happy. It’s a completely different move forward with life and that’s where I’m ready. That’s where I’m at.”
The TV personality also revealed she had dated both boys and girls as a teenager and had always considered herself a “free spirit,” long before marrying Paddy in 2011.
