Now 14, Harper has increasingly stepped into the spotlight alongside her mother Victoria Beckham, appearing at glamorous fashion launches, beauty events and high-profile public appearances in New York and Paris. But behind the polished smiles and designer outfits, some close to the family say there are growing concerns about what has quietly become known as “Project Harper.”
Last week alone, Harper joined Victoria twice in New York — first for the launch of the former Spice Girl’s collaboration with Gap, and days later at Nordstrom for the promotion of Victoria Beckham Beauty’s Portofino ’97 fragrance.
While many fans praised the close bond between mother and daughter, others questioned why Harper was travelling during school term time.
The scrutiny only intensified after Brooklyn Beckham’s previous remarks resurfaced online. Earlier this year, the Beckham eldest son reportedly accused his family of putting “Brand Beckham” before everything else, claiming family affection was often tied to social media appearances and carefully staged family moments.
And with Harper now regularly appearing at major Beckham business events, some observers are beginning to wonder whether she is gradually becoming the next face of the family empire.
Sources close to the Beckhams insist Harper is not falling behind academically, explaining that modern technology and private tutoring allow her to continue schoolwork while travelling internationally with her parents.
