Sir Rod Stewart is preparing to become a grandfather for the fifth time after his daughter Ruby Stewart announced she is expecting her second child.
The 38-year-old singer revealed the happy news during a family-filled weekend at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, where her legendary father, now 81, performed on stage in front of thousands of fans. Ruby later shared glamorous Instagram snaps from the event, proudly showing off her growing baby bump in a flowing black patterned dress while posing beside fiancé Jake Kalick.
The couple already share three-year-old son Otis, and Ruby has often spoken emotionally about motherhood. After welcoming her first child, she admitted: “This love unlike any other love I’ve ever known.”
But Ruby’s pregnancy wasn’t the only surprise that left fans talking.
In a second shock family reveal, Rod’s daughter Kimberly Stewart appeared publicly for the first time with the baby boy she secretly welcomed last year. Kimberly, 46, shared a rare selfie holding the child while hiding his face behind a blue heart emoji — and fans immediately noticed she still has never revealed the identity of the boy’s father or even his name.
Kimberly already shares daughter Delilah with Oscar-winning actor Benicio del Toro, and the unexpected appearance of her son turned what was already a huge Stewart family gathering into an even bigger talking point online.
The famous clan gathered backstage at the festival to support Rod, with Ruby joined by Kimberly, half-brother Liam Stewart and his wife Nicole, as well as several other family members. Photos from the event showed the rocker smiling proudly alongside his ever-growing family.
The “Maggie May” singer now has five grandchildren, with another baby on the way — adding to a famously large family that already includes eight children from five different relationships.
Over the years, Rod has spoken honestly about the difficulties of balancing global fame with fatherhood. Reflecting on raising children across different generations, he previously admitted: “I have to be several different fathers because of the different age groups of my kids.”
The music icon also confessed he missed precious moments with some of his older children because of his relentless career during his younger years, saying: “I didn’t see as much of those two as I would like to have. But I think they would probably say dad’s made it up since.”
Now, at 81, fans are once again seeing a softer side of the rock legend — proudly surrounded by children, grandchildren, and yet another new chapter for the Stewart dynasty.
