Adam Thomas took a subtle swipe at the chaotic I’m A Celeb final by celebrating what he sees as a real victory alongside his son — his remark “That’s what winning should feel like” while watching his boy was seen as a clear dig at the argument-filled finale

Adam Thomas has taken a subtle swipe at the chaotic aftermath of the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! South Africa final—by turning his attention to something far more meaningful: his son.

Just days after being crowned king of the jungle in one of the most dramatic finales the show has ever seen, the former Emmerdale star shared a series of heartwarming photos celebrating his 11-year-old son Teddy’s impressive success at a dance competition.

Beaming with pride, Adam posed alongside Teddy as they held multiple trophies, but it wasn’t the silverware that truly mattered to him.

“That’s what winning should feel like,” Adam wrote. “My boy came home this weekend with four trophies from his dance comps!!”

He then reflected on the emotional contrast between his son’s pure joy and his own turbulent victory, which was overshadowed by on-air clashes involving Jimmy Bullard and David Haye.

“But honestly, it wasn’t even about the trophies… it was his face,” Adam continued. “Just pure happiness, proper proud of himself. That’s what winning should feel like.”

The 37-year-old went on to share a deeper reflection, hinting at how the chaos of the final had reshaped his perspective on success.

“One thing I’ve learnt though is as you get older you start to realise, it’s not about trophies or crowns, none of that really matters. I already won a long time ago. Everything I need is right here.”

Fans and fellow celebrities quickly flooded the comments with support. Former jungle campmate Scarlett Moffatt praised Teddy’s achievement, writing a heartfelt “Massive well done teddy,” while fans applauded Adam’s outlook, with one noting he had “won the hearts of many by being you.”

The emotional post comes after a deeply uncomfortable live final that left viewers stunned. Moments before Adam was crowned winner, tensions exploded in the studio when Jimmy Bullard accused him of being “aggressive and intimidating” in unaired scenes.

The situation escalated further when David Haye openly questioned whether Adam deserved to win, leading to a heated atmosphere that overshadowed what should have been a celebratory moment.

Reports later claimed Adam was so upset he threw his crown once filming stopped and skipped the Unpacked aftershow, while also refusing to shake David’s hand following the confrontation.

Throughout the series, Adam had already opened up about feeling “broken” by his experience with David, amid accusations of bullying during filming.

In the aftermath, his wife Caroline didn’t hold back, branding Jimmy and David “vultures” and condemning what she described as their “vile behaviour.” Close friend Gemma Collins also publicly supported Adam, echoing similar sentiments, while Scarlett admitted she was heartbroken that his big win had been “ruined.”

But despite the chaos, Adam’s latest post makes one thing clear: the real victory wasn’t a jungle crown—it was a moment of pure pride, watching his son shine.
