Baby Bump, Sky-High Heels and a Red Carpet Glow-Up: Laura Whitmore Makes One Stunning Return to the Spotlight

Pregnant Laura Whitmore proudly showed off her bare baby bump as she stepped out for the Devil Wears Prada 2 premiere in London on Wednesday night.

The Irish presenter, 40, looked striking in a fitted black long-sleeved crop top that sat just above her bump, teamed with a dramatic matching skirt. The outfit highlighted her growing pregnancy curves while also delivering a glamorous red carpet moment.

Laura, who is expecting her second child with husband Iain Stirling, completed the look with towering platform heels and a bold thigh-high split that gave the ensemble an extra edge. She wore her blonde hair in a sleek updo and added a splash of colour with bright red lipstick.

The couple, who already share four-year-old daughter Stevie Ré, announced several months ago that they were preparing to welcome another baby. Since then, Laura has continued to share glimpses of family life, including a recent trip to Disneyland Paris with Iain and Stevie.

During that getaway, Laura kept her bump more covered, dressing in a colourful Disney hoodie and Minnie Mouse ears while posing for playful family snaps. She later shared the memories online, writing: “Throwback to a magical few days. The camera roll worked hard!”

The happy family update came after Laura first revealed her pregnancy news on Instagram, where friends and fans quickly flooded the comments with congratulations.

Laura has also previously spoken about how motherhood has changed her outlook, especially when it comes to raising children in a world shaped by social media and the internet. Speaking after becoming a mum, she admitted: “Having a child definitely changes your priorities and makes you more sensitive to certain subjects.”

She added: “This was something I also had to take self-care about as well.”

Reflecting on the pressures of the online world, Laura said: “Also, when it comes to the online world and it’s changing so dramatically it does make me conscious that in a few years to come I’m going to have to deal with that and it’s something I can’t control. So it does make me hyper-sensitive.”

The red carpet appearance marks another high-profile moment for Laura, who has remained in the spotlight through television, theatre and podcasting. In recent years, she stepped away from Love Island, explaining that some parts of the role had become too difficult to manage.

When she announced her exit from the ITV dating show in 2022, Laura said the “difficult” parts of the format had influenced her decision, particularly “flying back and forth to South Africa” during the winter series.

Last year, she also made headlines after pulling out of the BBC’s Celebrity Apprentice special at the last minute due to what was described as an “unavoidable clash” in her schedule.

A TV source said at the time: “Laura infuriated BBC bosses by pulling out of the Celebrity Apprentice special.”

The insider continued: “Of course, there can be a lot of last minute changes in television, but it was just days before filming started and the team were very much left in the lurch.”

“The dates did not work for Laura and so she backed out, but many were left in an awkward position by her decision.”

Still, on Wednesday night the focus was firmly on Laura’s glowing appearance, as she joined a star-studded crowd at the London premiere, with Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep and Stanley Tucci also making headlines on the red carpet.
