‘It was horrible to watch’: Rylan Clark shares emotional update on mum Linda after health ordeal

Rylan Clark has opened up about a frightening moment involving his mum Linda, admitting it was “horrible to watch” after she suffered yet another fall.

The TV star revealed that his 73-year-old mum, who has become a familiar face to fans in recent years, recently took another tumble – adding to a series of health struggles she has endured.

Speaking on the Chatting to Tea with Nan podcast, Rylan told host Margie Keefe that his mum had “a bit of a fall again,” joking that she’s “a nightmare” and that he feels like he needs to “wrap her in cotton wool”.

He explained that Linda often insists on helping around the house, particularly when it comes to dragging the bins in every Saturday morning – even when he’s planning to do it himself.

Recalling the incident, Rylan said this time wasn’t entirely her fault. He had captured the moment on his Ring camera and later watched it back, describing the footage as deeply distressing.

He said she stepped outside during icy conditions, slipped on a patch of ice, and fell heavily – adding that seeing it happen left him shaken.

The fall resulted in Linda fracturing her shoulder, leaving her unable to lift her arm above shoulder height for a period of time.

Thankfully, Rylan reassured fans that she has since made a strong recovery. He said she is now mostly healed and even able to drive again, adding that she’s “good” now.

This isn’t the first time Linda has suffered a serious fall. During a trip to Marbella in 2024, she broke both her arm and leg, with her condition made worse due to complications linked to Crohn’s disease.

At the time, Rylan took time off work to care for her and even arranged a private jet to bring her back to the UK following surgery, later sharing that she had recovered well and returned to her normal routine.
