In a moment that’s both heartbreakingly real and quietly hopeful, Jesy Nelson has given fans a rare glimpse into life with her twin daughters — and it’s left many emotional.
The former Little Mix star, 34, shared a series of tender photos showing her baby girls, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe, enjoying a gentle day out together — dressed in matching outfits, smiling, and soaking up a moment of normality amid a fight that no child should ever have to face.

Jesy welcomed the twins prematurely in May 2025 with her ex-fiancé Zion Foster. But earlier this year, she revealed the devastating reality: both girls had been diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1 — one of the most severe forms of the condition.
SMA Type 1 affects the motor nerve cells in the spinal cord, gradually weakening muscles and impacting vital functions like breathing and swallowing. Without early treatment, life expectancy is often heartbreakingly short.
And yet, in the middle of this unimaginable journey, Jesy continues to find moments of light.

In a sweet clip shared online, she lovingly spoke to one of her daughters, saying, “Look at you in your pretty little outfit, are you a little princess? a fairy little princess.” It was a simple moment — but one that captured everything about her strength as a mother.
Alongside the snaps, Jesy also showed a glimpse of everyday life — including her dogs curled up in the backseat as the family headed out, proving that even in the darkest chapters, small joys still exist.
But behind the smiles, Jesy is fighting a much bigger battle.
Since her daughters’ diagnosis, she has been campaigning tirelessly for newborn screening for SMA in England. She revealed that her twins were not tested at birth — something she believes could have changed everything.

“There’s still a long way to go,” she told fans, explaining that upcoming NHS screening plans will only apply to certain areas. She described the situation as a “postcode lottery for your baby,” adding that all babies deserve equal chances at life.
Despite the pain, Jesy remains determined. A petition supported by fans has already reached over 100,000 signatures and is now set to be debated in Parliament — something she called “just amazing.”
Speaking about her daughters’ condition, Jesy has been brutally honest about the emotional toll. She admitted that caring for them can feel overwhelming, describing some days as “really fing s,” while others bring moments of hope.
Still, she refuses to give up.
“My girls are the strongest, most resilient babies,” she said. “I really believe that they are going to defy all the odds.”
And judging by the smiles in those photos — they already are.
