Brooklyn Beckham is reportedly preparing for a dramatic legal battle — not over money, not over property, but over something far more personal: his own name.
The 27-year-old, who now goes by Peltz-Beckham after marrying actress Nicola Peltz, is said to be considering reclaiming the legal rights to “Brooklyn Beckham” — a trademark quietly registered years ago by his mother, Victoria Beckham.

The timing could not be more explosive. The trademark is due for renewal this December, opening the door for a potential legal challenge that insiders say Brooklyn is seriously weighing up.
Behind the scenes, the feud between Brooklyn and his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, shows no sign of cooling. The couple reportedly haven’t spoken in 15 months, despite repeated attempts from his parents to mend the relationship.
Sources claim David and Victoria have offered to meet Brooklyn under almost any conditions — even suggesting the presence of lawyers, therapists, mediators, or Nicola’s parents — in a desperate bid to heal the rift. But so far, no reconciliation has taken place.

At the heart of the conflict lies control. Victoria originally trademarked Brooklyn’s full name between 2016 and 2017, reportedly to protect him from commercial exploitation. The rights cover business use across the UK and Europe, meaning Brooklyn would technically need permission to launch any brand using his own name.
While the move was said to be protective rather than malicious, Brooklyn has allegedly viewed it very differently. In a deeply emotional six-page Instagram statement earlier this year, he suggested the family tension had been fuelled by pressure to sign away the rights to his name.
One insider explained that Brooklyn feels infantilised and simply wants control over something as basic as his identity. According to the source, he is currently weighing all his options, though no final decision has been made.
Adding to the strain, fresh details from Brooklyn’s lavish 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz have resurfaced — including an awkward moment when the rabbi reportedly called him “David” twice during the ceremony, mistakenly referencing his famous father.

The incident, described by one witness as “uncomfortably Oedipal,” has only added to the narrative of Brooklyn struggling to step out from under his father’s shadow.
Further claims from Brooklyn himself have also raised eyebrows, including an allegation that his mother behaved inappropriately during the wedding — a moment he said left him deeply uncomfortable.
The cracks in the family became even more visible last summer when Brooklyn allegedly sent his parents a cease-and-desist letter, asking them not to tag him on social media.
Since then, his loyalty appears to have shifted firmly toward his wife’s family, with Brooklyn growing increasingly close to his in-laws, Nelson and Claudia Peltz. He has even unfollowed celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay after the TV star publicly commented on the Beckham family feud.
As tensions escalate, what began as a private family disagreement is now spiralling into a high-stakes dispute over identity, control, and independence — with Brooklyn Beckham potentially ready to fight for the right to simply be himself.
