Rylan Clark found himself at the centre of an awkward live TV moment after unknowingly presenting This Morning for nearly an hour with his trousers undone — only realising the mishap during an ad break.
The 37-year-old presenter, who was co-hosting alongside Emma Willis, had no idea anything was wrong until the cameras briefly stopped rolling. As the show returned from the break, Rylan sheepishly addressed the situation, apologising to viewers while trying to laugh it off.

He admitted he had only just noticed the issue moments before going back on air, telling his co-stars he was sorry as he laughed nervously. The atmosphere quickly turned playful, with contributor Tom Swarbrick pointing out that the wardrobe malfunction may have lasted for the entire programme up to that point.
Caught off guard, Rylan raised his hands in mock surrender and admitted he had only realised when he sat down, joking that “it happens” and brushing off the embarrassment with humour. When Emma asked if he had stepped away at any point earlier, he confirmed he hadn’t — meaning the issue likely went unnoticed for the full hour.
Trying to ease the tension, he joked that at least the warm weather meant he had some “ventilation,” prompting laughter from the studio.
The blunder came just days after Rylan made his return to television following what he described as a “traumatic” and “invasive” cosmetic procedure. Speaking previously on BBC Radio 2, he admitted he had undergone a facial treatment but chose not to go into detail on air, describing it as something he found difficult.

Despite the awkward moment, viewers were delighted to see him back on screen. Social media quickly filled with praise for Rylan and Emma’s chemistry, with many calling them a “dream team” and urging producers to feature them more regularly.
Rylan remains a fan favourite on This Morning, often stepping in for regular hosts, and continues to be tipped as a potential future presenter for Strictly Come Dancing. Insiders suggest he is highly regarded by BBC bosses, with some claiming he would jump at the opportunity if offered the role.
