FROM HERO TO MEME IN MINUTES! – I’m A Celebrity… All Stars viewers were left crying with laughter after Adam Thomas delivered one of the most unexpected moments of the launch episode — conquering a terrifying challenge, only to be defeated by a simple puzzle

I’m A Celebrity… All Stars viewers were left crying with laughter after Adam Thomas delivered one of the most unexpected moments of the launch episode — conquering a terrifying challenge, only to be defeated by a simple puzzle.

The Emmerdale star returned to the jungle spin-off, filmed in South Africa’s Kruger National Park, alongside a cast of familiar faces all battling for the title of “legend of the jungle.” But while Adam showed serious bravery early on, things quickly took a chaotic turn.

Teaming up with Beverley Callard, Adam stepped up as team captain for the first trial, Tipped Over The Edge — a nerve-wracking challenge that saw the pair strapped back-to-back while collecting puzzle pieces from the edge of a cliff. As they edged closer, the platform beneath them tilted dramatically, threatening to send them tumbling.

Surprisingly, the dizzying heights and shifting platform didn’t phase them much. They managed to gather all the puzzle pieces in just eight minutes, with only one slip along the way. But just when it looked like they had it in the bag, everything fell apart.

It was the final step — assembling the puzzle — that proved to be Adam’s downfall.

Despite the strong start, Adam took a staggering 10 minutes to complete what many viewers branded a “child’s puzzle,” ultimately costing the pair the win against Ashley Roberts and Mo Farah.

The moment instantly went viral among fans, with social media erupting in disbelief and amusement. Viewers joked they’d be telling their grandkids about watching Adam tackle the puzzle, while others teased that he might need a “one-piece puzzle next time.” One fan summed it up perfectly, laughing that Adam and Beverley smashed the hard part “only to be taken out by something a kid could do.”

Elsewhere in the episode, the chaos didn’t stop.

Scarlett Moffatt and David Haye made a messy entrance during the Unlucky Lodges trial, where Scarlett narrowly avoided being drenched in green slime — only to open a fridge moments later and get soaked in brown liquid instead. Shocked, she shouted in frustration, asking what was being thrown at her and complaining she had just washed her hair.

Later, Seann Walsh and Sinitta faced their fears in a high-altitude challenge 140 feet above the ground. Clearly shaken, Seann muttered “Oh God” as nerves kicked in, while Sinitta took a tumble that left hosts and campmates gasping. Struggling to steady himself, Seann admitted he didn’t know how he was going to complete the task, prompting encouragement from below.

But the stakes were raised even higher with a brutal twist — one contestant from each losing team would be banished to the harsh Savannah Scrub camp.

And just when the celebrities thought things couldn’t get more intense, two late arrivals stunned the group.

Gemma Collins made a dramatic entrance, declaring this was a far cry from Essex and insisting she was ready for whatever the jungle had in store. Meanwhile, Craig Charles admitted he couldn’t believe he was back after 11 years, setting the stage for even more drama to come.
