Penny Lancaster has lifted the lid on her decades-long romance with Sir Rod Stewart, admitting that even after 26 years together, their relationship is still full of passion, energy — and a little bit of “demanding” charm.
The 54-year-old model, who first met the legendary rocker when she was just 27, shared a rare glimpse into their private life, revealing that the spark between them has never faded.
Speaking candidly, Penny confessed that Rod still excites her and that his attention to his appearance is something she finds incredibly attractive. She explained that they both make a conscious effort to keep the romance alive, saying they “lay it on thick” when it comes to affection, adding that the more romantic things are, the better their connection becomes.

Their love story began back in 1999, when they met while Rod was performing and Penny was still a student. But in a twist that could have changed everything, it took nine months before Rod finally got in touch.
His bandmate, Carmine Appice, had deliberately held onto Penny’s phone number, believing Rod wasn’t in the right headspace following his divorce from Rachel Hunter. Only when he felt Rod was ready did he pass it on.
Rod later joked that he should have fired him for the delay — but couldn’t bring himself to do it.
For Penny, that silence almost meant the end before things had even begun. She admitted she truly believed she would never see Rod again, recalling how she processed photos from his concert and thought of it simply as a lovely memory.
