Dianne Buswell has shared an emotional and intimate look into her first days as a mother, revealing she is soaking up what she calls the most “magical” moments of her life after welcoming her baby boy with partner Joe Sugg.
The Strictly Come Dancing star, 36, gave birth to their first child, Bowden Mark Richard Sugg, on March 16 — and has now taken to Instagram to offer fans a tender snapshot of life since his arrival.

In the touching photo, Dianne appears make-up free and glowing as she cradles her newborn son against her chest while relaxing in an armchair. Alongside the image, she opened up about the emotional whirlwind of becoming a mum, writing that these last few days have been the most magical time of her life.
The heartfelt post comes just days after Dianne and Joe, 34, introduced their son to the world with a joint announcement that perfectly captured their joy. Sharing a first glimpse of their baby, they wrote that they had never felt a love like it as they revealed his full name and birth date: Baby Bowden Mark Richard Sugg, born on 16/03/26.

The name Bowden carries a deeply personal meaning for Joe, as it is inspired by the village where he and his sister Zoe grew up. The siblings were raised in Bowden Hill in Lacock, Wiltshire — making the name a subtle tribute to family roots and childhood memories.
Dianne and Joe first revealed they were expecting back in September, later confirming they were having a baby boy. Throughout her pregnancy, Dianne continued to perform on Strictly, even making history as the show’s first professional dancer to compete while pregnant.
Her decision sparked debate online, with some critics questioning whether she should continue dancing. But Dianne remained defiant, shutting down negativity and receiving a wave of support from fans who praised her strength and dedication.

The couple’s love story dates back to 2018, when they were paired together on Strictly Come Dancing. Their chemistry both on and off the dancefloor quickly captured viewers’ hearts, and although they narrowly missed out on the Glitterball trophy in the final, Joe later declared he had “got something better than the glitterball” when they confirmed their relationship.
Now, nearly eight years later, that journey has come full circle — with the pair embracing a brand new chapter as parents.
