Millions Raised, Emotions Explode: ‘Suspenders, Sweat & Bromance!’, Jamie Laing Stuns in Lingerie to Cheer On Greg James’ Gruelling 1,000km Ride – And Their Wild Comic Relief Pact Comes Full Circle

Jamie Laing turned heads and sparked plenty of laughs as he made a jaw-dropping appearance in lingerie and suspenders to support his Radio 1 colleague Greg James during his brutal Comic Relief cycling challenge.

The former Made In Chelsea star, 37, didn’t hold back as he jumped onto the back of Greg’s tandem bike in the daring outfit, filming cheeky dance videos along the way and lifting spirits during what has been an exhausting journey.

Greg, 40, is currently tackling an incredible 1,000km ride in just eight days, raising millions for Comic Relief while battling both physical exhaustion and emotional strain behind the scenes.

But Jamie’s outrageous show of support wasn’t random — it was payback.

A year earlier, Greg had joined Jamie during his own Comic Relief challenge, where Jamie ran five ultra-marathons in five consecutive days. At the time, Greg honoured a donation milestone by running alongside him in a wedding dress — a moment that quickly became iconic.

This week, Jamie returned the favour in his own unforgettable way.

Speaking after the stunt, Jamie said it was both hilarious and deeply inspiring. He praised Greg’s determination, calling him a beacon of positivity, while also highlighting the role of Radio 1 listeners and the public as the real heroes driving the massive fundraising effort.

He joked that he “loved every second” of the experience — including wearing lingerie — and even teased he might do it again.

Greg, meanwhile, admitted the surprise lifted his spirits during a particularly tough stage of the challenge. He laughed that Jamie “looked fantastic,” even if it took a moment to adjust to the unexpected outfit, adding that the gesture brought a much-needed smile during a gruelling day in the saddle.

Behind the laughter, however, lies a far more emotional story.

Just days before beginning the challenge, Greg’s father suffered a stroke during a planned heart operation and remains in hospital — a reality that has weighed heavily on the presenter throughout the journey.

In a touching moment, Greg called his mum to share that Prince William had even joined him on the ride. Joking through the emotion, he told her to reassure his dad that he “didn’t kill the future King” while cycling.

He later admitted that, despite the overwhelming public support, he has been quietly masking his emotions. He confessed there have been moments where he has wanted to sit alone and cry, missing his parents deeply during such a significant challenge.

Greg explained that while the sadness has been real, the incredible support, donations, and energy from the public have helped him push through — giving him the strength to keep going.

With donations now soaring past £2.2 million, the challenge has become not just a physical test, but an emotional journey — one filled with humour, friendship, and resilience.
