Seeing this, is Brooklyn feeling jealous? David Beckham and Romeo escape to the mountains for a fun-filled ski trip and cold beers — while Brooklyn continues to stir up family drama

David Beckham appeared to brush off the latest tension with son Brooklyn as he jetted to Canada for a lads-only skiing trip with Romeo — offering a glimpse into the life his eldest son seems to be missing.

The former football icon, 50, escaped to the snowy peaks of Fernie, British Columbia, where he spent four days bonding with Romeo in a luxury mountain retreat. With Victoria and Harper notably absent, the father-son duo embraced the rugged wilderness, carving through slopes and unwinding with ice-cold beers.

Sharing moments from the trip on Instagram, David proudly revealed his skiing skills while soaking in the breathtaking scenery. He wrote that every year he tries to spend four days in the mountains in Fernie, describing it as one of his favourite places, and thanked the team at Island Lake Lodge for always making the experience special.

The pair stayed at the exclusive Island Lake Lodge, a secluded alpine escape offering private catskiing across 7,000 acres of untouched terrain — a far cry from the ongoing tensions back home.

As well as hitting the slopes, David and Romeo were seen relaxing outdoors with glasses of Stella Artois — a fitting choice given David’s role as a global ambassador for the brand.

But while the trip looked carefree, it came against the backdrop of deepening cracks within the Beckham family.

Brooklyn, 27, recently delivered another apparent snub by ignoring his mum Victoria on Mother’s Day — instead choosing to post a heartfelt message to his mother-in-law, Claudia Heffner Peltz. Alongside a photo with Claudia and wife Nicola, he wrote that she was the best mother-in-law and that he loved her so much, wishing her an amazing day.

The timing raised eyebrows, with Claudia’s birthday having fallen days earlier — leading some to believe the gesture was anything but accidental.

Earlier this month, Brooklyn also appeared to reject public birthday tributes from his parents and siblings, reportedly taking issue with what he sees as “performative” social media displays.

Sources claim he and Nicola are frustrated by these public gestures, insisting they would prefer private communication. One insider revealed that such posts are exactly what Brooklyn has been trying to stop, but without success.

In fact, reports suggest the couple even sent a legal letter last summer requesting that any contact from his family be handled through lawyers — highlighting just how serious the rift has become.

Despite the distance, Brooklyn is said to still be in touch with his grandfather Ted and his wife Hilary, maintaining at least one connection to his family roots.

Now living in the US with Nicola, Brooklyn has made it clear he wants to carve out his own path — even if it means stepping away from the Beckham name.

Meanwhile, back on the slopes, David and Romeo appeared unbothered, sharing laughs, adventure, and quiet moments together in the Canadian wilderness — a stark contrast to the drama unfolding thousands of miles away.
