Ryan Giggs offered fans a rare glimpse into his private family life as he marked Mother’s Day with a touching tribute to his mum — while also sharing a heartfelt moment with girlfriend Zara and their baby daughter.
The former Manchester United star and Welsh coach, 52, took to Instagram on Sunday to celebrate the special day, posting a warm photo alongside his mother. In the picture, the pair appeared relaxed and coordinated, both dressed in black outfits as they smiled for the camera.

Alongside the snap, Giggs kept his message simple but affectionate, writing: “Happy Mother’s Day Mum. Love you,” followed by a heart emoji.
But the football legend didn’t stop there. He also shared a rare family photo with his partner Zara, 37, and their young daughter Cora — offering fans a glimpse into their life together as parents.
The sweet picture showed Ryan, Zara and little Cora smiling while posing beneath a dazzling light display, capturing a cosy family moment after the couple welcomed their baby girl in November 2024.

At the time of Cora’s birth, a spokesperson confirmed the happy news, saying Ryan and his partner Zara were delighted to announce the arrival of their daughter, Cora Giggs, who was born on Friday, 1 November. The statement added that they were incredibly grateful to the staff and midwives at Wythenshawe Hospital who helped welcome their baby into the world.
Cora is the first child the couple share together. Ryan is already father to daughter Libby, 23, and son Zach, 19, from his previous 10-year marriage to Stacey Cooke. Zara also has a daughter from a previous relationship.
Despite the complicated history surrounding his past, insiders previously claimed Ryan’s ex-wife Stacey gave her blessing to the new chapter in his life — including his relationship with Zara and the birth of their daughter.
Ryan and Stacey divorced in 2017 after the football icon’s personal life was rocked by the revelation that he had conducted an eight-year affair with his brother Rhodri’s wife, Natasha.
The scandal fractured his family relationships at the time, with his father publicly saying he felt ashamed of his son, while Rhodri later mocked the situation in a now-infamous Paddy Power advert.

In more recent years, the controversy also had professional consequences. Earlier this year, reports revealed that the Premier League quietly shelved plans to induct Giggs into its Hall of Fame.
He had originally been expected to become one of the competition’s inaugural Hall of Fame members alongside Alan Shearer when the concept was first launched, but the plans were ultimately dropped following the legal issues he faced.
Still, Giggs’ latest social media posts suggest he is focused on family life, sharing moments that reflect a quieter chapter centered around loved ones — from honouring his mum to enjoying life as a father once again.
