Paris Fury Admits She’s “Not Ready” to Become a Grandmother at 37 as Her 16-Year-Old Daughter Prepares to Get Married

Paris Fury has admitted she simply isn’t ready for the idea of becoming a grandmother — even though her eldest daughter is already preparing to walk down the aisle.

The 36-year-old wife of heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury opened up about the emotional moment in a new interview and photoshoot with Notebook for the Sunday Mirror, where she appeared alongside her daughter Venezuela.

While Paris says she is thrilled about Venezuela’s upcoming wedding, she confessed that the thought of grandchildren before she turns 40 still feels far away.

The surprise engagement came last September when influencer and aspiring model Venezuela celebrated her 16th birthday. During the lavish party, her boyfriend of a year, Noah, got down on one knee and proposed — leaving the entire family stunned.

Now the young couple are busy planning their wedding, which is expected to take place in May.

Paris admitted the moment arrived much sooner than she ever imagined, saying she initially felt taken aback by how quickly things were moving.

She said she didn’t feel old enough for this kind of milestone yet, even though she could see how happy the young couple were. According to Paris, Venezuela and Noah are completely wrapped up in their own world and enjoying every moment together.

She also pointed out that she herself married young, tying the knot with Tyson Fury when she was just 18.

But when it comes to the idea of babies, Paris says that’s a conversation she would rather delay for as long as possible.

She explained that Venezuela is still very young and the couple want to travel and build their own life together before even thinking about starting a family. Paris added that she doesn’t think she would be mentally prepared to become a grandmother for quite some time — even if it happens years from now.

Paris previously joked about the idea during an appearance on the podcast Extraordinary Life Stories last November, where she admitted the topic had already come up at home.

She said she hoped it would be a few years before she had to face the reality of being a grandmother. The thought of it still felt hard to imagine, although she admitted it would be a special moment for the family.

Paris joked that when the day finally comes, she might try to embrace the title in her own way — as a glamorous “glam-ma”.

Beyond the excitement of the wedding, Paris also shared how emotional it will be when her daughter eventually moves out.

The Fury family recently relocated to the Isle of Man, and Venezuela is expected to move into a home she has purchased with Noah after the wedding.

Paris admitted that watching her daughter leave home will be incredibly difficult.

She explained that at the moment, with Tyson away in a training camp in Thailand and the younger children at school, she and Venezuela spend most of their time together and almost feel like they are co-parenting the household.

Because of that close bond, Paris believes the moment Venezuela moves out will hit her particularly hard.

Still, she is proud of the young woman her daughter has become.

Paris revealed that the teenager — whom she once jokingly described as a “privileged little brat” — has grown up dramatically in the last few years.

She recalled that when the first series of the family’s Netflix reality show At Home With the Furys was filmed, Venezuela was only 13 and still navigating the emotional turbulence of teenage life.

But as she got older, Paris says her daughter blossomed into a more confident and outgoing young woman who is far less argumentative and far more sociable.

The family is currently filming the next season of their Netflix series, meaning fans may soon see some of the wedding preparations unfold on screen.

And those plans are already well underway.

Venezuela has begun searching for dresses and wedding venues, with Paris hinting that the event will likely include some of her daughter’s “quirky ideas” — including bright acid pink-and-yellow bouquets.

For her part, Venezuela admits that while she expects the ceremony to be relatively small, the Fury family’s naturally larger-than-life personalities will probably make it feel much bigger.

She joked that what they consider a small wedding might look enormous to everyone else, simply because the family tends to do everything in a big and bold way.

Paris and Tyson themselves know a thing or two about young love.

The couple first met at a wedding when Paris was just 15 and Tyson was 17. They later reconnected at her 16th birthday party and soon began dating.

They married in 2008 when Paris was 18, welcomed their first child Venezuela the following year, and have since built a family of seven children together.

Over the years, the couple have even renewed their vows twice — once in a private ceremony in New York in 2013, and again last August in the south of France, surrounded by their children.

And while Paris may not feel ready to be a grandmother just yet, she is clearly excited to watch the next chapter of her daughter’s life unfold.
