Ulrika Jonsson, 58, reveals her “beautiful” home makeover after showing off her makeup-free face as she works to reverse sun damage

Ulrika Jonsson has revealed a striking new transformation inside her home, just days after proudly showing fans the results of her skin journey in a glowing makeup-free selfie.

The 58-year-old presenter shared a fresh update on Instagram on Thursday, giving followers a glimpse inside her newly redesigned TV room — a space she said had once been little more than a basic area where her youngest son spent his time gaming.

Now, however, the room has been completely reimagined into what Ulrika clearly sees as one of the proudest projects in her home.

At the centre of the makeover is a bold orange sofa, styled with fringe cushions and paired with an eye-catching chandelier that instantly changed the mood of the room. The space feels far removed from the plain setup it once had, with Ulrika explaining that she finally decided to make it special after realising she would be staying in the house she loves.

She said she was “massively proud” of the room and explained that she had never even used to sit in there before. But once she knew she would remain in her “beautiful house”, she chose to transform it into somewhere the whole family could truly enjoy.

Ulrika also praised interior designer Leonie Bosher for helping bring the vision to life, saying her friend had listened, collaborated and advised throughout the process. She added that the room had now become a place where everyone could spend time together.

The home update comes as Ulrika continues another deeply personal transformation — this time focused on her skin. Last week, she shared a series of radiant bare-faced selfies and opened up about how she had once felt she had “largely given up” on her face after years of sun exposure.

She admitted she had accepted the effects of sun damage for a long time because she did not realise there was anything she could do about it. But after starting treatments at a clinic, her perspective changed.

Ulrika made clear that her decision was never about trying to look younger or erase the past. Instead, she said it marked the beginning of a new relationship with her skin, built on reassurance and realistic expectations.

She also stressed that she has no issue with wrinkles and laughter lines, saying they are the marks of a life lived. Even so, she said she is now “beyond thrilled” with her skin and with the reflection she sees in the mirror each day.

The star said ageing is natural and, above all, a privilege, adding that every person should have the freedom to decide how they want to grow older.

And this latest chapter in Ulrika’s self-care journey has not only included skincare. Just last month, she also revealed she was recovering from a procedure to remove her varicose veins, making it clear that this period of her life is one of change, confidence and reclaiming comfort in both her appearance and her surroundings.
