Katie Price has revealed that her mother broke down in tears in hospital over the reality star’s whirlwind marriage to Lee Andrews — as her sister Sophie bluntly told her: “You’ve traumatised us all.”
The former glamour model, 47, opened up about the emotional family fallout during the latest episode of The Katie Price Show, the podcast she hosts with her sister Sophie.
Katie shocked fans earlier this year when she married entrepreneur Lee Andrews, 41, in Dubai just ten days after meeting him. The news reportedly blindsided many of her loved ones, including her children and wider family.

Speaking on the podcast, Sophie didn’t hide her frustration, telling Katie directly that the decision had deeply affected the family. She said: “You’ve traumatised us all. I’ve had a s*** start to the year caused by you. You’ve been a pain in the f*ing ae.”
The conversation quickly revealed just how tense things had become between the sisters. In fact, they admitted that the last time they attempted to record the podcast together they ended up arguing so badly that Katie hung up on Sophie mid-conversation.
Amid the family drama, Katie also shared a heartbreaking moment involving their mother Amy, who is currently battling serious health issues.
Amy underwent a lung transplant in 2022 after being diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis — a progressive condition that scars the lungs and makes breathing increasingly difficult. Since the operation, her health has remained fragile and she was recently hospitalised again due to an infection.
Katie explained that she had visited her mother during her latest stay in hospital.
She said she went to see her and gave her a big hug, telling her she needed “a daughter hug” and reassuring her that she loved her. But the moment quickly turned emotional, with Katie revealing that her mother burst into tears.
Sophie confirmed the situation was serious, saying their mum was back in hospital and “not good” while receiving treatment.

Despite the family’s distress, Katie appeared unfazed and joked about the criticism coming her way. She responded to Sophie’s comments by saying she “traumatises everyone,” before brushing off the tension.
The controversial relationship at the centre of the drama began in an unexpected way. Katie has previously explained that Lee first appeared as a suggested account on Instagram. She decided to message him directly and soon the pair were talking for hours every day.
After her split from ex-partner JJ Slater, the two exchanged messages for up to five hours daily before finally meeting in person in Dubai — where they quickly decided to marry.
However, the rapid romance has sparked widespread concern among those closest to her.
Several of Lee’s former partners have made explosive allegations, while some of his claims about his finances, business ventures and celebrity connections have reportedly been called into question.
Sources close to Katie’s family have said they worry the situation could even be a potential scam.
But Katie remains adamant she knows what she is doing.
She acknowledged that her family’s concerns come from love but insisted that she is old enough to make her own decisions. She said it was understandable that they would worry after everything she has been through in the past, but reminded them that she is now 47 and capable of choosing her own path.
“My life isn’t normal,” she said, explaining that her family simply have to “let me be me” and allow her to find things out for herself.
Meanwhile, Sophie has previously hinted that the tension between them could affect their work together.
Earlier this year she suggested their podcast might even be paused indefinitely, sharing a cryptic social media post shortly after news of the marriage broke.
The clip she reposted featured physician Dr Gabor Maté speaking about how families deal with difficult situations, ending with a message that appeared to reflect her feelings toward Katie: “I’m not going to try and change you. I just hope you come to your senses at some point. But I’ll be with you and I’ll be supporting you.”
Despite the family turmoil, Katie’s children have taken a more neutral stance.
Her eldest children, Princess, 18, and Junior, 20, recently said they simply want their mother to be happy — even though none of the family have yet met her new husband in person.
