Caught With Two Mystery Women… Then Back By Her Side: Wayne Rooney Finally Gets Out of the Doghouse With Wife Coleen as the Couple Put On a United Front After His Boozy Night Out in Manchester

Wayne Rooney appears to have finally made peace with wife Coleen after a week of headlines about his boozy night out in Manchester.

The former England football captain, 40, had raised eyebrows after he was spotted partying until the early hours with two mystery women at a pre-Brit Awards bash in the city. The night reportedly ended with Rooney emerging from the toilets at a luxury hotel struggling to hold up his trousers while surrounded by a group of male friends, including pop singer Calum Scott.

But despite the embarrassing scenes, it seems the couple have moved past the drama.

Rooney was seen firmly back by Coleen’s side this week as she launched her new Primark collection in Liverpool, with the pair presenting a united front while cameras rolled for her upcoming documentary series.

A source told The Sun that Rooney appeared determined to show his support and make amends after the controversial night out. Wayne was by Coleen’s side last night and was on his best behaviour, the insider explained, adding that he was very affectionate with her throughout the event.

The source continued that although Wayne missed Coleen’s earlier London launch, he was eager to back her closer to home in Liverpool and show how proud he is of her.

All eyes were reportedly on the couple as they appeared together at the event, with cameras capturing everything for Coleen’s documentary, meaning viewers will soon see what has really been happening behind the scenes.

The latest appearance comes just days after Rooney skipped the London launch of Coleen’s Primark range. Instead, the WAG was supported by her glamorous mother Colette as she hosted a lavish dinner party to celebrate her new collection and a reported seven-figure deal with the high street brand.

Rooney, who has recently worked as a BBC pundit, remained at the family’s £20 million Cheshire mansion to look after their four sons — Kai, 16, Klay, 12, Kit, 10, and Cass, eight.

Coleen’s decision to stand by her husband through past controversies has long been a talking point.

Over the years, Rooney has been at the centre of several alleged cheating scandals, dating back to when he was a teenager. In 2004, shortly after joining Manchester United at the age of 18, reports claimed he paid £140 for sex with prostitute Charlotte Glover, then 21.

Further allegations suggested he also slept with Gina McCarrick, then 37, and grandmother Patricia Tierney, then 48, at a Liverpool brothel.

Although the revelations made national headlines at the time, Coleen remained by his side and chose not to publicly comment on the claims.

Years later, she reflected candidly on their relationship in a 2023 Amazon Prime documentary about Rooney’s football career.

Coleen explained that when facing difficult choices in her marriage, she tried to focus on what mattered most to her rather than the opinions of others. She said that people often questioned why she chose to stay with him, but she listened to the advice of those closest to her.

She revealed that her parents, Colette and Tony, had always encouraged her to maintain a positive outlook, and she believed there was nothing the couple couldn’t face if they worked through it together.

Coleen also admitted that the pair were never particularly lovey-dovey but said their relationship worked because they enjoyed laughing together and tackling problems as a team.
