TOWIE star Bobby Norris has left fans shocked after revealing the painful aftermath of his latest cosmetic surgery — sharing a graphic update from his hospital bed that showed his face heavily bruised and wrapped in bandages.
The 39-year-old reality TV personality, who first joined The Only Way Is Essex in 2012, took to Instagram to document his recovery after undergoing an extensive face and neck lift earlier this week.

In the candid clip, Bobby appeared almost unrecognisable as swelling engulfed his eyes and cheeks while bandages wrapped around his head. Speaking to followers just one day after the operation, he explained that the procedure had been far more extensive than many expected.
He told fans that the surgery took place the previous day and that this was his first update since the operation. Bobby revealed he had undergone a face lift, a neck lift and a lower blepharoplasty — a procedure that removes loose skin from beneath the eyes.
Looking at his reflection, the TV star tried to lighten the mood with humour, joking that the dramatic post-surgery look meant he probably wouldn’t be appearing on the cover of Vogue anytime soon.

He captioned the post: “Fresh out of surgery… Face & Neck Lift + Lower Blepharoplasty completed yesterday. This is DAY 1. The real transformation happens over the next few weeks… wait for the healing process.”
The latest procedure follows a series of cosmetic treatments that Bobby has been open about over the years. In 2024, he underwent an upper blepharoplasty — surgery on the upper eyelids — which he said was part of a broader effort to refine his appearance.
However, the growing list of treatments has also sparked speculation in the past about whether the reality star was undergoing gender reassignment surgery — rumours Bobby quickly shut down.
Addressing followers at the time, he clarified the procedures he had actually undergone, explaining that he had upper eyelid surgery, buccal fat removal from his cheeks, liposuction beneath his chin and full 360-degree body liposuction.
Bobby has previously admitted that his cosmetic journey spiralled after being offered free treatments during his early years on TOWIE.
Reflecting on that period, he acknowledged that he may have taken things too far. He said that sometimes people do not realise how different they look until they see photographs or paparazzi images, adding that at one point he felt he no longer looked like himself.
Experts have also weighed in on the long-term effects of such procedures. Cosmetic surgeon Dr Mo Hamed explained that Bobby began his television career with a naturally youthful, baby-faced appearance and very little cosmetic work.
Over time, he said, the star experimented with Botox, jawline filler and cheek filler before eventually moving on to more dramatic surgical procedures.
Dr Hamed also noted that Bobby had spoken about having buccal fat removal — a surgery where fat between the cheekbones and jawline is removed to create a sharper, more sculpted facial contour.
While the procedure can produce a model-like chiselled look, the surgeon warned that removing buccal fat too early can sometimes lead to issues later in life because the fat pad helps maintain a youthful appearance as people age.
He added that Bobby had also previously undergone 360-degree liposuction, a procedure where fat is removed from several areas of the torso including the abdomen, flanks and back.
For now, Bobby’s focus appears to be on recovery — with the reality star telling followers that the true results of his latest transformation will only become clear once the swelling subsides in the coming weeks.
