Nicola Peltz offered a carefully worded – and noticeably pointed – response when she was asked directly about the ongoing rift between her husband Brooklyn Beckham and his famous parents, David and Victoria Beckham.
The actress, 31, and Brooklyn, 27, have been locked in a highly publicised fallout with the Beckham family for months. Tensions exploded earlier this year when Brooklyn posted a lengthy and explosive statement about the conflict, accusing his parents of controlling the narrative surrounding their family.

While Brooklyn has spoken openly about the situation, Nicola has largely remained silent — until now.
During a new interview this week, the billionaire heiress was asked how she has handled the intense public scrutiny surrounding her real life and her relationship with Brooklyn’s family.
“There’s been a lot of public interest in your real life and relationship with husband Brooklyn Beckham’s family. How have you navigated that attention?” she was asked.
But rather than addressing the feud head-on, Nicola quickly redirected the conversation back to her work. She replied that she had spent the past few weeks focused entirely on editing her upcoming film.
“I’ve been editing my next film [Prima] for the past two and a half weeks,” she explained.
“So honestly, I’ve been in the editing room. We haven’t had weekends. We’ve just been trying to make a deadline [for Cannes].”

She went on to tell The Hollywood Reporter that focusing on her creative work has been a welcome distraction. Nicola said it had been “so amazing to just put my focus on that and be creative,” adding that she was “really excited” for audiences to see the finished film.
Her carefully neutral response came just days before she threw an extravagant birthday celebration for Brooklyn, who turned 27 this week.
The actress shared a series of affectionate photos from the party on Instagram, showing the couple packing on the PDA as they celebrated with friends. Nicola looked glamorous in a black halterneck gown as she leaned in to kiss her husband in several snapshots.
In her caption, she wrote: “last night was so special thank you to everyone who came and made it so perfect.”
She then ended the message with a line that some fans interpreted as a subtle dig at the Beckhams, who are known for frequently declaring their love for family members online. Nicola concluded the post by writing: “we all love you so much brooklyn!”
The birthday celebration came as tensions within the Beckham family continue to simmer.
According to reports, communication between Brooklyn and his parents has broken down so dramatically that he has requested any attempts to contact him be handled through lawyers.
Despite this, David and Victoria still publicly marked their son’s birthday on Wednesday with emotional tributes on social media.
David shared childhood photos of Brooklyn and used his long-time nickname for him as he wrote: “27 today. Happy Birthday Bust. We love you x.”
Victoria followed shortly after with a similar message, writing: “happy birthday Brooklyn, we love you so much,” alongside a picture of them laughing together.
Brooklyn’s younger brothers Romeo and Cruz also shared birthday messages, as did several extended family members.

However, sources claim the public posts did not go down well with Brooklyn.
An insider told ET that both Brooklyn and Nicola felt disheartened that his parents chose to make the birthday wishes public.
“Brooklyn and Nicola are disheartened they chose to make public Instagram posts for his birthday,” the source said.
“These are the exact type of performative public actions that Brooklyn has been trying to put an end to, to no avail.”
The insider added that the couple had already taken formal steps last year to limit contact.
“Last summer they issued a legal letter to his parents requesting that any correspondence go through lawyers.”
Despite the deep divide, there have been small hints that reconciliation may still be possible.
Brooklyn’s younger brother Cruz, 21, was asked about the family rift while out in Paris with his girlfriend Jackie Apostel this week.
When a reporter asked if he had a message for Brooklyn on his birthday, he simply replied: “Happy Birthday.”
And when asked whether he had spoken to his older brother recently, Cruz did not answer directly — but said he hoped their fractured relationship could eventually be repaired.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn appeared unfazed by the drama as he celebrated with Nicola.
The couple embraced a playful pink theme for the occasion, with doughnuts, flowers and decorations matching the colour palette Nicola has recently been using to promote her upcoming ballet-themed film Prima.
Among the gifts Brooklyn received was a large birthday cake featuring the logo of his hot sauce brand, Cloud 23 — a name inspired by the number his father famously wore during his football career.
While Brooklyn did not respond publicly to his parents’ birthday posts, he was quick to reply to Nicola’s tribute.
After she wrote a heartfelt message calling him “the most special human” and saying she loved being his wife, Brooklyn replied simply: “I love you baby girl.”
