Eamonn Holmes gave a devastating update on his health during a live broadcast on GB News, revealing he is now confined to a wheelchair and unable to stand.
The 65-year-old veteran presenter spoke candidly after suffering a string of accidents — including a live on-air fall just days earlier. While he initially brushed it off, Eamonn has now revealed the real toll his health struggles have taken.

“I used to be all for exercise. But now I can’t move. I’m in a wheelchair. I can’t put on trainers, I can’t change, I can’t shower, I can’t stand up,” he admitted during a conversation with actor Tim Vincent about how exercise helps reduce cancer risks.
Eamonn previously had double hip replacement surgery in 2016 and spinal surgery in 2022 due to a slipped disc. But his recent string of accidents — including a heavy fall in his bathroom and the shocking collapse on-air — have raised serious concerns.

“There are a lot of people like me who can’t exercise. That means we’re at greater risk of cancer. And hearing that makes me feel awful,” he confessed.
Though he returned to finish the segment and even cracked a joke — “I’m still alive!” — many fans are now questioning whether his condition is deteriorating faster than expected, with some fearing a potential recurrence of his past health issues.
