She’s 51, He’s 29: Alison Hammond, 51, puts on a loved-up display with her rarely-seen boyfriend David Putman, 29, as they celebrate her birthday

Alison Hammond marked her 51st birthday wrapped in romance as she shared a tender moment with her rarely-seen boyfriend, David Putman, 29.

The much-loved This Morning presenter looked radiant as David posted a cosy selfie of the pair on his Instagram Story, simply writing, “Happy birthday to my love,” as Alison beamed and leaned into him.

Their love story began in 2023 after Alison booked a massage with David, a Russian masseur and model, before the couple went public with their romance in April 2024. Since then, they have largely kept things low-key — but recent months have seen Alison opening up about just how serious the relationship has become.

Back in December, Alison admitted she is “in love” and insisted their 22-year age gap is a complete non-issue. She explained that David is “incredibly mature and sensible,” while joking that she very much is not. Speaking candidly, she said things are going “really, really well,” adding that David’s energy is so special that everyone feels it when he walks into a room. She said she feels grateful that he chooses to share his life with her.

The couple made their red-carpet debut just two months after confirming their romance, stepping out together at a Candy Kittens event alongside Alison’s son Aidan, 20. Since then, Alison has confirmed that she and David are living together and are “happy the way it is.”

While wedding bells aren’t ringing just yet, Alison made it clear she doesn’t feel the need for a ring to validate their relationship. Still, she teased that if David did propose tomorrow, “it wouldn’t be a no.”

Reflecting on love later in life, Alison said being in love feels “lovely,” explaining that it makes her more patient and kinder because there is always someone she wants to care for — and who cares for her in return. She has previously described their bond as fitting “like a jigsaw,” insisting that once people see them together, the headlines and labels quickly fade away.
