Rod Stewart and his wife Penny Lancaster turned heads with a romantic display as they arrived at the premiere of Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision at Windsor Castle on Wednesday evening.
The legendary rocker, 81, looked every inch the showman in a white lace shirt teamed with pinstripe trousers and a dramatic tailcoat blazer. He completed the quirky tuxedo with a religious cross necklace and glossy patent shoes, keeping a protective arm around Penny as they posed for the cameras.

Penny, 54, was equally striking in a flowing pink and brown floral chiffon gown with tiered ruffles. She styled the look with a black velvet fringed shawl, red patent stilettos and a miniature black leather handbag, adding a touch of vintage glamour to the royal setting.
Their affectionate appearance comes just weeks after Penny became emotional while reflecting on their love story in a BBC festive special. Recalling how they first met back in 1999, Penny revealed that despite exchanging numbers, Rod didn’t contact her for nine months. At the time, Rod was fresh from his divorce from Rachel Hunter, and his band leader Carmine Appice decided to step in.

Rod later explained that Carmine felt he wasn’t ready for a serious relationship and deliberately kept Penny’s number from him until he was in a better place. Joking about the move, Rod admitted he should have fired him but couldn’t. Penny added that Carmine warned Rod he might “go a bit crazy over the summer” and thought Penny seemed like a nice girl worth waiting for.

For a while, Penny believed she would never hear from Rod again, remembering how she developed photos she’d taken at his concert and assumed that chapter was over. But once Rod was ready, he reached out, the pair began dating, and Penny was soon welcomed into his blended family.

The couple went on to welcome their first son Alastair in 2005, married in 2007, and later had their second son Aiden in 2011. Rod is also father to six children from previous relationships, making their journey together one defined by patience, timing and, ultimately, lasting love.
