Victoria Beckham paid an emotional tribute to her husband and children as she was named a Chevalier of the Order of Arts and Letters in Paris — but the celebration was unmistakably overshadowed by the absence of her eldest son.
The 51-year-old fashion designer was joined at the ceremony by David Beckham, sons Romeo and Cruz, and daughter Harper, who stood proudly by her side as she accepted one of France’s most prestigious cultural honours. Romeo and Cruz were also accompanied by their partners, Kim Turnbull and Jackie Apostel.

However, Brooklyn Beckham was once again a no-show — just days after releasing a scathing statement in which he confirmed he had cut ties with his famous family and chosen to build a new life in the US with his wife, Nicola Peltz.
Despite the ongoing family rift, Victoria appeared determined not to let the drama steal focus from the milestone moment. In her acceptance speech, delivered after being introduced by French Culture Minister Rachida Dati, she made a pointed reference to her children, thanking them “for always believing in my vision.”

Praising France’s approach to fashion, Victoria told the audience she was proud to be British but deeply admired the way French culture treats fashion as a serious art form. She went on to thank her business partners, her design and production teams, and paid heartfelt tribute to David, acknowledging his belief in her determination and passion — particularly during the years when her fashion brand was struggling financially.
As she spoke, David watched on beaming with pride, with Cruz seen resting a supportive hand on his father’s shoulder. The family presented a united front, applauding as the medal was pinned to Victoria’s dress.

The event marked the Beckham family’s first public appearance since Brooklyn’s explosive claims — including allegations that Victoria sabotaged aspects of his wedding and behaved inappropriately during the first dance — accusations the family have firmly refused to respond to publicly.

Later, Victoria took to Instagram to reflect on the honour, calling David “my everything” and describing the recognition as the result of decades of commitment, sacrifice and belief — both in herself and from those closest to her.
