Coleen Nolan has shared an emotional tribute to her beloved sister Linda Nolan, marking one year since her death following a long and courageous battle with secondary breast cancer.
Taking to Instagram on January 15, Coleen posted a series of treasured photos of herself with Linda and wrote simply yet powerfully: “One year without you Linda, love and miss you every day.” The message struck a chord with fans who have followed the Nolan family’s painful journey with cancer over the years.

Linda first received a breast cancer diagnosis in 2005 and was given the all-clear in 2011. But in 2017, tragedy struck again when doctors found tumours in her hip bone and pelvis. Like her late sister Bernie, Linda was diagnosed with incurable secondary breast cancer. Despite the devastating news, she remained determined to live fully, using her voice to raise awareness and support others facing the same diagnosis.
Linda passed away on January 15, 2025, aged 65, surrounded by her famous sisters in her final hours at Blackpool Victoria Hospital. Her family later shared that her last moments were filled with “love and comfort,” with the hospital staff praised for their tireless care.

In a moving statement, her agent described Linda as far more than a pop star. As a founding member of The Nolans, she helped sell over 30 million records worldwide, performing for world leaders and touring internationally. Beyond music, Linda became a passionate charity campaigner, helping raise more than £20 million for causes including breast cancer charities and mental health support.

Tributes poured in across social media, while the Loose Women panel paid an emotional on-air tribute, with host Christine Lampard acknowledging the family’s loss and Linda’s bravery in sharing her story.
Even as her illness progressed, Linda continued campaigning, pushing for wider access to life-extending treatments on the NHS and appearing on television to keep the conversation alive. At her funeral in Blackpool, fans lined the streets to say goodbye — a final testament to the impact she made through her honesty, humour and resilience.

One year on, Coleen’s short but devastating message says everything: Linda Nolan is gone, but she is far from forgotten.
