Gino D’Acampo Sparks Outrage With X-Rated Jokes on Air as He Tries to Bounce Back After ITV Scandal

Controversial celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo has sparked fresh backlash after resurfacing in the spotlight with a string of sexually suggestive comments during a Maltese radio appearance — months after being axed by ITV over claims of inappropriate behaviour.

During the broadcast, the 48-year-old TV star, known for his cheeky persona, declared that “Italian men offer maximum satisfaction with minimum effort,” before telling the female host she was “too pretty for radio.” He then made a questionable joke implying his son Rocco was named after adult film actor Rocco Siffredi.

But Gino didn’t stop there. He commented on women’s bodies, claiming “only dogs like bones” and added, “men want something to grab.” The remarks, laced with innuendo, drew stunned reactions from both listeners and industry insiders.

Gino’s return to media comes amid ongoing investigations into multiple allegations spanning over a decade, with ITV pulling all his shows from upcoming schedules earlier this year. The network reportedly acted swiftly to avoid a PR crisis similar to those involving other disgraced personalities.

Among the most disturbing claims is an accusation from a female producer who said Gino drew an explicit image of her during a live filming, an incident she described as “shocking and humiliating.” ITV has confirmed it is investigating the matter.

Despite the controversy, Gino’s restaurant empire has narrowly avoided collapse. His five remaining venues in London, Manchester, Leeds, and Newcastle have been bought out of administration in a £5 million deal, saving around 400 jobs.

Still, with public trust shaken and more stories emerging, Gino’s career comeback may be far from certain.
