Katie Price is celebrating her son Harvey’s 23rd birthday with a warm cuddle — but behind the smiles lies a mother’s deepest worry.
The 47-year-old former glamour model shared an adorable photo of her and Harvey lying in bed together on Bank Holiday Monday, captioned: “Bank holiday cuddles before lots of celebrations tomorrow.” But while the moment melted hearts online, Katie soon reminded followers of the harsh reality they continue to face.
In recent weeks, Katie has been speaking candidly about Harvey’s severe health concerns — particularly his dangerous weight, which has now climbed to nearly 30 stone (around 188kg). She revealed on The Katie Price Show podcast that her eldest child is now at serious risk of a heart attack if things don’t change soon.
“He’s just under 30 stone and that’s huge,” she said. “It’s terrifying. His quality of life is so limited. He can’t do much, and it breaks my heart to see him like this.”
Harvey, who was born with multiple health conditions, including Prader-Willi syndrome and partial blindness, has struggled with constant hunger and mobility issues for years. Now, Katie is desperately trying to help him — with the support of doctors and the possible use of Mounjaro, a medication currently prescribed to aid weight loss.
“He doesn’t fully understand what’s happening,” Katie admitted. “But I love him more than anything, and I’m not giving up. It’s heartbreaking, but I’ll fight this battle with him.”
Harvey recently got a new haircut ahead of his birthday — a small spark of joy in a time that’s weighed down by concern. Katie says she’s holding onto hope that with medical support and constant love, her son can begin a healthier chapter.
