Emily Atack has found herself at the centre of yet another toxic online debate — and this time, her fans are having absolutely none of it.
The Emily Atack, 36, sparked a wave of commentary after sharing a joyful Christmas carousel on Instagram, showing off festive outfits, cosy pub trips and indulgent dinner tables. But amid the wholesome snaps, a handful of followers cruelly accused the actress of using so-called weight-loss injections.

Some comments suggested she was “on the jabs”, with others name-checking drugs like Mounjaro — claims that prompted an immediate backlash from fans who rushed to shut down the speculation.
One supporter fired back: “These comments! Arenn’t we over talking about women’s bodies?” while another added that women “can’t win”, saying Emily looked stunning and that her body was not up for public debate.
Another follower pointed out how disheartening it was that “80% of the comments” focused solely on her appearance rather than the happy moments she was sharing.

Emily’s celebrity friend Katherine Ryan also waded in, posting a simple but powerful show of support — “GIRL” — accompanied by fire emojis.
The actress, best known for her role in The Inbetweeners and her recent appearance in Rivals, has long spoken openly about the pressure women face over their bodies — particularly after becoming mothers.
Emily welcomed her first child, a baby boy named Barney, with her scientist fiancé Alistair Garner in June 2024. Just months later, she revealed she was being bombarded with questions about her weight — something she admitted she had no intention of rushing to “fix”.
Speaking on Great Company, hosted by Jamie Laing, Emily explained that motherhood completely changed how she viewed her body. She said pregnancy and childbirth were “mental”, adding that the expectation to immediately get back into shape left her exhausted and frustrated.

Emily laughed as she recalled people asking when she’d return to the gym, saying she’d just created a human and was simply enjoying that stage of her life — even admitting she’d gained more weight since giving birth and felt no shame about it.
The actress has also previously spoken about being body-shamed early in her career, recalling how she was labelled “curvy” and criticised for her weight during her breakout years, despite being a size eight at the time.
As the latest row proves, Emily’s fans are more than ready to defend her — and many are calling for a long-overdue end to obsessive commentary on women’s bodies.
