Soap power couple Nikki Sanderson and Anthony Quinlan have wrapped up 2025 with their most joyful announcement yet — they’re expecting their first baby together.
The pair shared the news on Instagram with a festive video that began on a glittering Christmas tree before zooming in on a bauble bearing a baby scan. Their caption said it all: “Happy Christmas from the three of us,” followed by the words “Baby Quinlan due 2026.”
Speaking exclusively about their pregnancy journey, Nikki, 41, said the couple are “over the moon” and confirmed they’re expecting a spring baby. “We’re happy to say it’s going to be a lovely little spring baby,” she revealed, glowing as she opened up about the next chapter of their lives.
Anthony, who has appeared in Hollyoaks and Emmerdale and now runs an online fitness and supplements business, could barely contain his excitement. He admitted he “can’t wait till we’re a little team of three” and added that he wants to “shout it from the rooftops.”
The couple began dating in early 2022, shortly after Nikki’s split from her long-term partner Greg Whitehurst. Anthony was previously linked to Dianne Buswell from Strictly Come Dancing, but has since spoken candidly about how his friendship with Nikki slowly turned romantic.
Recalling how it all began, Anthony once joked that there were rumours they met at the gym. “We had a bit of a laugh about that,” he said, before admitting he slid into her DMs. “I was lucky enough to get a date and the rest is history.”
Despite their public profiles, the pair have kept their relationship largely private. Nikki previously said they were “very happy” but preferred to stay low-key, describing Anthony as “such a wonderful guy” and adding that she felt “very lucky.”
Now, as they head into 2026 preparing to welcome their first child, fans have flooded social media with messages of support — all celebrating what the couple themselves have called the best Christmas present they could ever receive.
