Jeff Brazier has shared a reflective statement after confirming the end of his seven-year marriage to PR executive Kate Dwyer, amid renewed attention following an uncomfortable on-air exchange with Loose Women host Ruth Langsford.
The TV star, who is father to EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier, 22, and his younger son Freddie, 20, revealed last month that he and Kate had quietly separated over the summer. In a candid message at the time, Jeff admitted the pair had reached a painful realisation that they “could no longer make each other happy”, marking their second split after a brief separation in 2023.

Following an outpouring of support from fans, Jeff has now taken to Instagram to suggest he is entering a period of personal reflection. Posting a serene photo of himself gazing out to sea in St Kitts, where he has been filming for ITV, Jeff told followers he had enjoyed “the perfect week” in the Caribbean, adding that the sunshine had given him space to reflect on both life and work.
Alongside playful snaps of himself relaxing in swimming trunks, Jeff said he was embracing a “healthy glow” and getting back into his gym routine as he returned to everyday life.

However, his post comes just days after he made headlines for a tense moment on Loose Women. While presenting a competition segment, Jeff initially complimented Ruth Langsford on her appearance before abruptly warning her that she was “eating into his screen time” when she responded. A visibly taken-aback Ruth replied coolly with, “Whatever,” before adding, “Your wish is my command.”
Insiders later claimed Jeff was spoken to by ITV bosses following the exchange. While Ruth reportedly chose not to make a formal complaint, a source said producers acknowledged Jeff was under significant personal strain but reminded him there was “no excuse” for directing frustration at a colleague. It was also suggested he consider taking time away from the show following the breakdown of his marriage.

When announcing the split in November, Jeff struck a heartfelt tone, writing that he remained “full of love and gratitude” for Kate, praising everything they had achieved together. He explained they had kept the separation private to allow themselves time to adjust, adding that while they were devastated they could not find happiness together, it felt right to finally let go.
