The Traitors star Charlotte Chilton has been rushed to hospital and is preparing to undergo brain surgery, sharing a worrying health update from her hospital bed as she battles trigeminal neuralgia — all while her personal life remains under intense public scrutiny.
The BBC series two contestant revealed she had suffered another severe attack of the condition, often dubbed the “suicide disease” due to its excruciating facial pain, forcing doctors to schedule further neurosurgery in an effort to bring her long-term relief.

Posting a photo from her hospital bed in a gown, Charlotte admitted the thought of brain surgery was “daunting”, yet she managed a brave smile and a thumbs-up for fans. She explained that after being rushed into A&E with a “huge attack”, specialists decided urgent intervention was necessary.
“As many of you know, I’ve tried to raise awareness of trigeminal neuralgia,” Charlotte shared. She said she had “unfortunately found myself back in hospital with a terrible attack”, adding that this resulted in her needing “another neuro surgery to control it”.
Acknowledging the fear surrounding the procedure, she told followers that surgery on the brain is never easy to face, but stressed that this operation offers hope of long-term relief and the chance to finally “get on with my life”.

Charlotte also paid tribute to the NHS staff caring for her, describing the neuro team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital as “amazing” as she prepared to undergo the operation to relieve what she called her “physical torture”.
In a raw and emotional message to fellow sufferers, she urged others living with trigeminal neuralgia to keep fighting for the right medical support, reminding fans why the condition has earned such a devastating nickname. She ended her post with gratitude for her family and friends, calling the past week “hellish” and signing off with: “Wish me luck and see you on the other side.”
Her hospitalisation comes during an already turbulent period, as Charlotte continues to face a very public paternity dispute surrounding her daughter Penelope.
Charlotte has consistently maintained that singer and YouTube star Conor Maynard is her child’s father, despite two DNA tests reportedly indicating otherwise. She has claimed the results may be affected by a rare medical condition and insists she will ultimately prove her case.
The saga intensified when Traitors co-star Jonny Holloway alleged they had slept together — a claim Charlotte has repeatedly and firmly denied. She has stated there was never anything romantic between them, describing their relationship as nothing more than a friendship.
Amid the fallout, Charlotte previously stepped away from social media to protect her mental health, warning in a parting message that she would not allow herself or her daughter to be “used for anyone’s personal gain”.
As she now faces brain surgery, supporters have rallied around the reality star, praising her courage for speaking openly about both her health battle and the immense personal pressure she is enduring behind the scenes.
