Friday’s episode of This Morning (May 16) is set for a shake-up, as Alison Hammond will not be joining her usual co-host Dermot O’Leary on the sofa. Instead, Lisa Snowdon will step in — sparking both excitement and skepticism among fans.
The switch-up was confirmed at the end of Thursday’s show, when Cat Deeley revealed that fashion expert Lisa Snowdon will co-host alongside Dermot for the Friday edition.
This won’t be Lisa’s first time hosting This Morning. She and Dermot previously teamed up in December 2023, just ahead of Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard’s full-time arrival to the programme.
While Alison Hammond returned to the show recently after a brief break, no official explanation has been given for her absence this Friday.
Some viewers are curious, others cautious — as Lisa’s last appearance drew mixed reactions. When she co-hosted with Dermot in 2023, many fans took to social media to complain, with some criticising ITV for choosing her.
“Lisa Snowdon presenting the whole 3-hour show is not it,” one viewer tweeted. Another added: “#ThisMorning scraping the barrel with Lisa.”
Despite the criticism, others are hopeful that Friday’s edition will run smoothly with Dermot and Lisa at the helm once again.
