Emotional Moment as Sister Praises Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan’s Baby, Reveals Her Own Son Will Undergo Open-Heart Surgery

Jess Wright has opened up about how proud she is of her younger brother Mark Wright becoming a father — but don’t expect her to volunteer for babysitting just yet. Speaking on the red carpet at the BAFTA Television Awards, the former TOWIE star praised Mark and Michelle Keegan as “incredible parents” following the birth of their daughter Palma.

Mark, 38, and Michelle, 37, welcomed their little girl in March. Palma is now two months old, and according to Jess, she’s “the best little girl.” But despite her clear affection for her niece, Jess, 39, admitted she won’t be offering to babysit anytime soon. “Not quite!” she laughed, explaining that her own son Presley, who turns three this month, already keeps her on her toes.

“He’s taken to it like a duck to water,” Jess said about Mark’s journey into fatherhood. “He’s amazing. I had no doubt he’d be a brilliant dad.”

Jess recently hosted the Have A Heart Gala at the Savoy, which raised over £250,000 for The Brompton Fountain — a charity that supports children with severe heart and lung conditions. She has a personal connection to the cause, as her son Presley was born with congenital heart disease and will need open-heart surgery in the future.

Reflecting on the emotional event, Jess said: “I’m just really proud I can use my platform to do some good out of something so tough. Hopefully, I can help make a real difference.”
