Jon Bon Jovi has finally spoken out about becoming a grandfather after his son Jake Bongiovi and daughter-in-law Millie Bobby Brown quietly adopted their first child — a baby girl.
The music icon, 63, admitted on the Dumb Blonde podcast that the new arrival had already melted his heart. “They adopted a girl, we met the baby obviously, and immediately that becomes your grandchild, you know what I mean? Your baby,” he said. Calling the experience “crazy, but great. Wonderful,” he confessed he can’t stop pestering the young couple for updates. “I want to see pictures, like, every other day. I’m that pain in the butt guy already.”

Millie, 21, and Jake, 23, revealed last month that they had completed the adoption over the summer. In her Instagram announcement, Millie wrote: “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy. And then there were 3.”
The Stranger Things actress has since been spotted in New York pushing a stroller alongside Jake, and even shared snaps of her husband carrying a baby carrier while boarding a private jet.

Jon Bon Jovi also reflected on their decision to marry so young. “We blessed it because we get it, you know? They’re sorta mature beyond their years. She comes from a family where her parents are still together and they married very young. Her and Jake fell in love and we just thought, ‘Okay, we’ll support this.’”
Millie has been vocal about her lifelong dream of becoming a mother. On the SmartLess podcast, she explained: “My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. Since I was a baby, I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me. Jake knows how important it is to me… I really want a big family. I’m one of four. He’s one of four. So, it is definitely in our future.”

The adoption news came just as the couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary, with Millie posting: “1 year married. I love being your wife.”
