JoJo Siwa has taken aim at Olivia Attwood after the Love Island star hinted that Chris Hughes’ relationship with the American singer might be a publicity stunt.
Olivia, who dated Chris after they reached the Love Island final together in 2017, previously admitted she sought therapy following their split and accused him of “acting up for the cameras.” When asked online about his new romance with JoJo, she replied bluntly: “She’s really famous.”

But JoJo has now stepped in to defend her boyfriend. Speaking on Radio Andy’s Smith Sisters Live, she said Chris is “honestly, such a good guy that his mouth has stayed shut” and insisted, “Always know that there are two sides to every single story – I don’t even know every side to every single story.”
She praised Chris for refusing to respond to his ex, saying, “There’s a lot to be said about the good guy in the story who keeps his mouth shut. Chris is a simple guy who loves his family, his golf, his horses and his sports.”

JoJo also revealed how serious her feelings have become, admitting she’s craving a wedding for the first time in her life. “I’ve never protected a love so much. I’ve never cared about another person so much. I’ve never craved a wedding… but now I want a ring, I want my dad to walk me down the aisle, and I want butterflies,” she confessed.
The singer, who identifies as queer after previously dating women, admitted she’s faced a “brutal” backlash from parts of the LGBTQ+ community for being in a heterosexual relationship. She described being flipped off in public and even confronted outside her studio, saying, “That to me has made me so aware of how brutal hate can be – not just from outside the community but from within too.”

Still, JoJo stressed that the criticism doesn’t hurt her but could harm others. “What matters is the younger people watching. If someone sees how I’m treated and thinks they can’t change who they love because of that, then that’s the problem,” she said.
This comes after JoJo and Chris, who first met on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year, looked loved-up at a London wedding, with JoJo stunning in a black gown and Chris in a tuxedo. Posting their photos online, Chris wrote: “A beautiful wedding in the city. Congratulations Mr & Mrs Lewis!”
