Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa could be walking down the aisle sooner than anyone expected – with his dad suggesting the couple might marry before Christmas.
The reality TV star and the former Dance Moms sensation first met on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year and have barely spent a day apart since. Their whirlwind romance has already included talks of babies and marriage, and now Chris’ father, Paul, says he wouldn’t be shocked if vows were exchanged this year.
“It wouldn’t surprise us if they got married before Christmas,” Paul, 68, told the Mail. “We’ve got St Mary’s Church just over the lane from us which would be perfect. Chris brought JoJo to meet us almost straight after the show ended, and she’s stayed with us a few weekends since. She’s a lot of fun and just mucks in.”
The small Cotswolds church near the Hughes’ family home in Temple Guiting could provide a romantic backdrop for the nuptials. Meanwhile, JoJo, 22, has already hinted at how she envisions their big day. “A wedding is a two-person thing. We would have to decide what it looks like,” she said. “But I do know I want a baby-blue scheme, and I need to help Chris with the playlist – otherwise it’ll just be full of songs I don’t know! He loves The 1975, but I’m more about NSYNC or Backstreet Boys.”
Despite living together on the outskirts of London, the couple often retreat to Chris’ family home for downtime. JoJo has also fuelled speculation by liking posts from a wedding planner on Instagram and dazzling in a black satin gown while attending a friend’s wedding at The Savoy last week with Chris by her side.
Adding to the buzz, Chris confirmed the pair have been in talks for a fly-on-the-wall reality show. “There’s been lots of discussions. If it did happen, it would be another journey in our life, and something we’d be very happy to film,” he said.
With family blessing, wedding planner hints, and fans hanging on their every move, the countdown to a Christmas wedding could already be on.
