David Haye has reignited the explosive feud with Adam Thomas by claiming the actor was earning a staggering £20,000–£25,000 per day during their time on I’m A Celebrity… South Africa — and therefore had no excuse not to pull his weight.
The 45-year-old boxer didn’t hold back as he reflected on their tense time in the South African jungle, insisting Adam should have “got on with it” instead of stepping back from trials.

Adam, 37, struggled in camp due to fatigue and dehydration, linked to his autoimmune condition psoriatic arthritis. But David dismissed those concerns entirely, saying he “couldn’t care less” because “everyone’s got something.”
He doubled down in a scathing interview, saying if that level of hardship was enough to “break” Adam, then it proved he came from “a very soft, padded lifestyle.” David argued that for the kind of money being paid, doing trials should be the bare minimum, questioning: how could something like that even be considered difficult?

The controversy deepened after Adam later revealed he is now undergoing therapy following the clash. Speaking emotionally on his podcast, he admitted the experience had a serious impact on his mental health, saying it had “messed with him” and left him questioning how he allowed another person to affect him so deeply.
But David wasn’t sympathetic. Instead, he offered his own blunt solution — saying Adam didn’t need therapy at all, but should be doing push-ups and surrounding himself with “strong, powerful men” rather than “talking about how hard life is.”
The row originally erupted when Adam opted out of the “Termite Terror” trial, saying he wasn’t well enough to take part. David responded harshly at the time, calling him “useless” and openly questioning his contribution to camp life.

He even suggested Adam’s food portions should be reduced, sparking further tension. The situation escalated to the point where Adam confronted him directly, demanding they take the conversation outside.
The fallout didn’t go unnoticed. Hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly later admitted they felt uncomfortable watching the exchanges unfold. Ant said the situation wasn’t “a nice watch” and felt David kept picking at Adam, while Dec added that the dynamic had clearly crossed the line from banter into something far more serious.
