A furious Robbie Williams has hit back after being branded a “fraud” and a “Redcoat” in a savage podcast rant that tore into his career.
The 52-year-old singer responded after watching a clip from The World Cup Of podcast, where hosts mocked his rise to fame and dismissed his success in brutal terms. One host claimed he “got lucky being in Gary Barlow’s band” before adding: “You’re not a rockstar… you’re a fraud.”

The criticism quickly escalated, with the podcaster going even further as he said: “He’s just a f***ing Redcoat who queued up to be in Gary Barlow’s band and got lucky.”
Robbie, who has long been open about his troubled past, did not stay silent. Taking to the comments, he delivered a sharp and deeply personal response. He wrote: “My algorithm sent me this. I went to Glastonbury because people my age went to Glastonbury. I’ve never called myself a rock star. Not once.”
Addressing his past struggles, he added candidly: “I was on the bag. You end up where you end up.”
But it was his final words that truly turned the tables, as he called out the tone of the attack directly. He wrote: “I know exactly who and what I am. You, however display a kind of cruelty that doesn’t even recognise itself. Scary.”
Robbie then delivered a brutal closing line: “I’m a real Redcoat. You’re a real bully. I know which one I’d rather be.”

The singer’s response quickly gained traction online, with fans rushing to defend him and criticising the podcast for its harsh and dismissive tone. Many argued that Robbie’s decades-long career and impact on British music speak for themselves — regardless of how he is labelled.
