Wowed yet? Kate Ferdinand Shows Off Her £6.5 Million Dubai Mansion as the Family Begins a New Life After Leaving the UK

Kate Ferdinand has given fans an intimate look inside the sprawling Dubai mansion she now calls home, sharing a rare glimpse of family life after swapping south-east London for the UAE sunshine.

The former TOWIE star, 34, and her husband Rio Ferdinand, 46, quietly relocated in August, settling into an ultra-luxury property in the exclusive gated community of Al Barari. The home, listed earlier this year for 32.5 million dirhams — around £6.55 million — reflects a bold new chapter for the family.

Over the weekend, Kate posted a relaxed Instagram vlog documenting a cosy pyjama day with her children, complete with pizza, treats and Netflix. The video revealed the mansion’s sleek modern interiors, a vast lounge dominated by an enormous TV screen, and an elegant entrance that immediately signals high-end living.

Alongside the footage, Kate shared a caption that struck a chord with fans, writing that “real self-care is knowing when to stay home in your pyjamas, watch Netflix guilt-free, order the pizza, do the bare minimum and choose rest over optimisation.”

The clip also featured sweet moments with her son Cree, four, and daughter Shae, two, enjoying their new surroundings. Kate is also step-mum to Rio’s older children — Lorenz, 19, Tate, 17, and Tia, 13 — from his late wife Rebecca Ellison, who tragically died in 2015.

When the couple first announced their move in August, Kate described the decision as emotional but necessary. She said they were “scared, excited and nervous” but ready for a “fresh start” in the same city where she and Rio first met eight years ago. Reflecting on the move, Kate wrote that they had talked about it for years and were finally ready to make a new home, admitting she already missed “some of our specials” back in the UK.

Rio has since opened up about the deeper reasons behind the relocation, following his decision to quit his long-running punditry role at TNT Sports. He explained that Dubai offered a different energy, saying life there felt positive, safe and vibrant for children, while also allowing him to focus on his growing business interests, including Football Escapes.

Education also played a crucial role. Rio revealed that visiting schools in Dubai made him rethink everything, saying the system felt different and better suited to his children — particularly with GCSE years approaching for the older ones.

Despite the major life change, family remains at the centre of their new chapter. Earlier this month, Rio was reunited in Dubai with his older sons Lorenz and Tate, who flew out from the UK following Lorenz signing his first professional football contract with Brighton.
