Alison Hammond has made a rare and heartfelt confession about her love life, revealing she is “absolutely in love” with her younger boyfriend David Putman — and she couldn’t care less about their 22-year age difference.
The This Morning favourite, 51, has been quietly dating Russian model David since 2023, keeping much of their relationship out of the spotlight. But now, in an unusually candid moment, Alison has opened up about their bond — and why their connection goes far beyond numbers.

Speaking openly, Alison admitted she understands why people focus on their age gap, but questioned the double standard. She explained that she completely understands why people are interested when there’s a 22-year difference, but finds it curious that it doesn’t attract the same attention when the man is older. She added that all she really wants is for people to be happy for them.
And her feelings couldn’t be clearer. Alison declared simply: they are absolutely in love.
The TV star, who is mum to 20-year-old son Aiden, previously hinted that things were already going strong between her and David late last year — and it seems their relationship has only deepened since.

Back in December, she shared that things were going really, really well, gushing about her partner’s presence and personality. Alison described David as having the most beautiful energy, saying everyone feels it when they’re around him — something she called very rare. She also admitted she feels incredibly grateful that he chooses to share his life with her.
Their love story began in an unexpected way — Alison first met David when she booked him for a massage in 2023. Sparks flew almost instantly, and the pair have been inseparable ever since.

Despite keeping public appearances to a minimum, Alison has occasionally shared glimpses of their romance on social media, giving fans a rare peek into their private world.
Addressing the age gap more directly in the past, she insisted that what matters most isn’t numbers — but connection. Alison said that while people might notice the difference on paper, anyone who sees them together quickly understands why it works, with many even telling her they “get it now.”
