Victoria Beckham has officially announced her long-awaited Netflix documentary, but the reaction has been far from unanimous.
The former Spice Girl, 51, shared a glamorous first-look image of the series on Instagram, where she smouldered at the camera while showing off sparkling diamond bracelets. The post was captioned: “VICTORIA BECKHAM – From the makers of the Emmy award-winning BECKHAM and the award-winning director of Michelle Obama’s Becoming – launching 9 October 2025, only on Netflix.”

The project comes nearly two years after the success of David Beckham’s 2023 Netflix hit, and this time Victoria takes centre stage, with the documentary promising exclusive access to her life, family, and career.
But while fans rushed to express excitement, not everyone is on board. One unimpressed commenter asked bluntly, “Does anyone actually care?” Another wrote, “God no, get lost and off TV,” while a third insisted, “We should all boycott it.” Yet others could barely contain their enthusiasm. “YES! So excited for this,” one fan gushed. Another added: “I’m literally bursting with excitement. Loved her since day one.”

Earlier this year, Victoria admitted she only agreed to the project after persuasion from her husband David. “To be honest, I wasn’t sure anybody would really want to see what I do every day,” she told Bloomberg. “It focuses on what I do, and my role as founder and creative director of the two brands. I thought long and hard about it, and then I realised that now is the time to do it.”

She also reflected on the legacy of her pop-star past. “I’ve been very defined by a four-year period in my life when I was in the Spice Girls, and I am so proud of that. But with that came all the preconceptions. I’ve been in the fashion industry for nearly 20 years. It’s taken this long for me to feel confident enough in what I do and my brand, knowing that now is the time I can talk about my past.”

The documentary is set to premiere on Netflix on October 9, 2025.
