Ulrika Jonsson, 58, shows off transformation after years of sun damage

Ulrika Jonsson underwent a six-month transformation process as the former Gladiators presenter attempted to reverse the effects of years of sun damage

Ulrika Jonsson has showed off her latest transformation, revealing her younger complexion. The 58-year-old presenter revealed before and after snaps after taking part in six months with of intense skin treatments.

The tweakments come after Ulrika was trying to reverse years of sun damage on her face. The tailored plan saw Ulrika use collagen stimulator Juliaine. She also used a number of other treatments to achieve her results.

Insisting it wasn’t about “turning back the clock” the treatment plan by practitioner Dr Benji Dhillon was said to involve “deep diving”. The consultant explained it was important he realised Ulrika’s goal.

He said: “She didn’t want to look 20 years younger, it was about looking the best she can for her age – and more importantly still looking like herself.

“We’re delighted with Ulrika’s results that feel authentic and real, and most of all Ulrika still feels like herself – just more refreshed and with even more confidence that she’s showing up as her best self.”

For the results, Ulrika is said to have used received biostimulators. These are non-surgical treatments that are designed to stimulate the body’s natural collagen growth. Other tweakments included laser resurfacing and injectable skin boosters, while she also had a laser treatment that removes pigmentation on the skin by damaging it through exposure to light.

Ulrika previously spoke of her journey, explaining how she felt she had “aged badly”. “I’ve not felt as excited about anything in years as excited as I do about this,” she said in a social media clip.

“It’s not about looking younger, I don’t want to look 21, I don’t want to look 31, but I want to look the best that I can for my age.” After Define Clinic shared the results on Instagram, Ulrika joked: “God, she’s handsome.” She then commented with a more serious tone, saying: “But seriously, the results are beyond my expectations. Natural. Balanced. Realistic.”

Last year, the former Gladiators host hit out at trolls who took aim at he appearance. She had been invited on a podcast to discuss her sobriety journey. And comments about her drinking habits from the past went viral, but it was her appearance that became a major talking appoint among those who watched the recording.

Ulrika was chatting with former Made In Chelsea star, Spencer Matthews and viewers let their thoughts be known about Ulrika. Writing in The Times shortly after, she defended her appearance after she “forgot” she was being filmed so didn’t wear makeup

She said: “I’ve fought hard against the whole perception of women being solely about beauty and image. I’m a practical woman and I come with a wealth of experience, kindness and intelligence.”

She went on: “The fact that I now have wrinkles, lines and jowls should be of no consequence. I know I look older. But then I should: I’m a menopausal mother of four whose body and face has lived quite the life.” She attributed her tanned appearance to spending a lot of time in the garden.
